Secant, cosecant and cotangent

Secant

\displaystyle \sec x = \frac{1}{\cos x}

Cosecant

\displaystyle \csc x = \frac{1}{\sin x}

Cotangent

\displaystyle \cot x = \frac{1}{\tan x}

Note: \sec x is not the same as \arccos x.

Example

If \sec x = 2,\ \cos x = \frac{1}{2},\ x = 60^o.
