Revision Notes Project Page

This page is being used to coordinate the improvement of the Revision notes section of TSR Wiki.

To discuss the improvements and changes please use the Talk page. This page will outline the agreed structure and the jobs which need doing and the main contributors.

Structure

  • The main category will be Revision Notes. It will be placed in the Exams category.
  • The main subjects will added to the Revision Notes category.
  • The main subjects which are needed are:
    • Maths
    • Biology
    • Chemistry
    • Physics
    • English
    • German
    • French
    • Spanish
    • History
    • Geography
    • Technology
    • Art
    • Music
    • Sociology
    • Psychology
    • Religious Studies
    • Archeology
    • Business Studies
    • Classics
    • Economics
    • Information Technology
    • Anthropology
    • Politics
    • Law
    • Media Studies

(More subjects will be added in future)

  • Each subject will have a category called 'Subject Revision Notes'
  • Within each subject the revision notes will be split up into levels/exam types categories:
    • GCSE revision notes
    • A Level revision notes
    • IB revision notes
    • University revision notes
  • The notes will then be split up within each level in what ever way is seen fit.
  • One revision note page may appear in more than one subject or level category. However, if it is to appear in more than one level category, the content must be suitable for the exam level. If it is not suitable for both levels, then separate pages both covering the topic but at different levels may be made.
  • Every revision note page within all level categories for a subject ill also appear in the top level category for the subject (eg all maths revision notes should be added into the Maths revision notes category. These will be organised by general topic. If you need assistance on how to arrange pages by subject within the same category, please contact User:Roger Kirk).

Jobs to do

  • Organise each subject into exam/level categories
  • Rewview and rewrite all articles to getthem in the correct wiki format
  • Improve, add and remove content from all revision note articles to improve the quality of articles.
  • Create and add illustraive diagrams and pictures to articles where necessary.
  • Create topic lists for subject at each level to see what areas are currently covered and what areas need additional notes writing.
  • Create topical categories wihin each subejct to accommodate the missing articles and create the revsion notes for these topics.
  • Create a list of missing subjects which could have revision notes. Create top level subject catgories for these subjects.
  • Fill these new categories with revision notes.
  • Discuss the possibility of having KS3 revision notes in maths, English and Science and maybe create revision notes for this level.
