From The Student Room

Modules

From 2008 most A levels are moving from 6 to 4 modules. This is probably going to impact this article far more than the possible introduction of the A* grade.

Cheers, will add anything useful.
Anyone know where I can find a list of the weightings of each module for individual subjects? Or is this a bit optimistic? --Generalebriety 18:46, 23 July 2007 (BST)
Just got this through from the dfes:
Timetable for changes to A Levels and introducing the Extended Project
  • New A level – teaching begins September 2008
  • First AS award 2009
  • First A level award 2010
  • First A* award 2010
  • Extended Project – teaching begins September 2008. A small number of candidates may receive their awards in 2009 but the majority will do so in 2010
