Target Schools
From The Student Room WikiTSR Wiki > University > Applying to University > Procedure > Oxbridge > Target Schools Target Schools is a student led scheme within the Student Union which aims to encourage applications from the state sector and especially from schools and colleges which have no history of sending students to Oxford. We do this by running open days in Oxford colleges (there are around four of these throughout the year) and by holding regional conferences, most recently these have been in the North of England and Northern Ireland. The Easter visiting scheme sends current students to schools all over the country to answer questions about the application process and to dispel some of the myths about student life here.Target Schools is also a great source of information for potential applicants. Each year we mail out Target Schools Handbooks to every state school in the country and our website allows prospective students to email students currently studying their subject.
