Mohamud Amin

Mohamud-Amin2.png Mohamud Amin is currently studying the Msc Hand Therapy, online.

The (MSc Hand Therapy) has changed my work for the better. I’ve learnt critical appraisal skills and can now confidently evaluate every aspect of my work so I can obtain the best evidence available. I’ve also gained knowledge and skills in the clinical area of hand therapy.

I found the staff very helpful and was able to communicate with them through telephone, email, Skype and UDo (University of Derby Online), whenever I needed support with my learning. Being a full time employee, the distance learning programme suited me. However, the course demands a lot of personal commitment and focus. I would recommend the University of Derby."

Nosheen Iqbal

Nosheen-Iqbal2.png Nosheen Iqbal studied the (MA ADAPT) (Art and Design, Advanced Practice and Theories).

Nosheen is the presenter of two programmes on the emerging Asian TV channel, DM Digital. She joined the channel shortly after graduating in 2007.

"I really enjoyed my time Derby University. The producers heard about my graduation and covered the event as part of their news coverage."

Nosheen’s lecturer commented, "Nosheen is a very determined young woman. I'm delighted she’s used the cross discipline experience of the (MA in Art and Design) so positively in her new career. In an increasingly competitive global market Nosheen is an example of the value of a rounded education."

Justyna Zgódka

Justyna-Zgdka2.png Justyna Zgódka is from Poland and is studying (MSc Management.) She came to the UK to continue her education after graduating from the University of Silesia.

Justyna started off studying the (BA (Hons) International Business Management) and then progressed to the MSc Management at Derby.

"A masters course is very demanding, but getting good marks on such a difficult course is really rewarding! The masters course has taught me patience, diligence and time management. I’ve also learnt how to work with people from different backgrounds and cultures. I hope that once I graduate I’ll be able to transfer these skills to the workplace."

Geraldine Grindley

Geraldine-Grindley2.png Geraldine Grindley from Ireland, studied the (PG Cert Clinical Supervision) online.

"My tutor was great. She was always there when I emailed her or went on the discussion forums.

The benefit of studying online was that everything was at your finger tips – I didn’t have to go to a library and look for articles, all my reading material was online and I could just pick it up at any point. I could work at my own pace and read on ahead or go back to something if I felt I needed to."
