North Court and South House are newer flats and have higher quality kitchen facilities and larger rooms than the lower priced Hector Boece Court, Burnett House and Esslemont House. There is also Keith House, which is a building reserved for postgraduate students.
Adam Smith, Fyfe and Wavell Houses have all recently been changed from catered to self-catered, this means they have brand new kitchens. They also have new shower rooms. Roughly 20 people share 4 showers and 4 toilets. The kitchens are shared between either 5 or 10 people. The rooms are arranged as single rooms off a corridor rather than in flats, and are slightly bigger than other Hillhead rooms. A cleaner cleans the communal areas and empties the bins Mon - Fri. AS, F and W each have a TV room.

There is also a Unite hall in Hillhead - New Carnegie Court. The rooms are arranged in flats with a kitchen and sitting space. The rooms are en-suite and are a similar size to AS, F and W when the larger 3/4 bed and bigger desks are factored in.
