At Middlesex we offer self-catering housing for 940 students across four halls of residence - all of which have Wi-Fi internet access. Our student accommodation ranges from study bedrooms with en suite facilities, to traditional style halls with shared kitchens and bathrooms. However, you may want to rent student accommodation privately - we can help here too.
Priority goes to full year international students (from outside the EU). After this we try to accommodate UK and EU students who are based furthest away. Applicants living within the M25 can make an application however it will not be looked at until the middle of September..
We can help you find accommodation in the private rented sector. If you choose this option, it is essential that you begin your search as early as possible as there is high demand for accommodation towards the beginning of term.

MDXSU (Middlesex University Students’ Union) is a democratically elected, student-led, not-for-profit organisation to which all enrolled Middlesex students are automatically members. MDXSU exists in order to promote, support, respond to, campaign on behalf of and above all represent the student body both to the University and, through its affiliation with the NUS (National Union of Students), nationally and to the wider community as a whole.
When you start at Middlesex, make sure you find the Student Union in order to get your SU student ID and your Oyster student discount card.
The SU organises events regularly, ranging from club nights, concert to exhibitions and international meetings.
As an ex-poly, the university still has little reputation, but is well known for their great drama and dance courses, as well as their teaching courses (PGCE and BA Primary Education). It also offers great Nursing courses and art-related degrees.
In 2004, Middlesex University was rated among the Top 20 Universities in The Guardian league tables, but considerably lower in the Times.
During the summer, Middlesex University offers a summer school, available to all students, as well as non-students.
During term, they offer a Languages for All option, where you can learn or continue to learn a number of foreign languages, including English for non-English speakers. Additionally, a lot of the degrees are set up to offer you one free module per semester in the first year.
Many courses at Middlesex contain year long modules giving student time to get to grips with challenging subjects and form academic relationships with staff over the year. This is in comparison to many unis which have many shorter modules lasting one term or semester.
