Graduates

Grant Thornton has placements for over 200 graduates in more than 20 of its offices across the UK. You'll work with dynamic clients across a range of sectors. Click here to find out more.

Grant Thornton offers a well established and well respected programme through which you'll have the opportunity to work with some really exciting clients across a variety of sectors. You won't just be fetching cups of tea either - you could be leading clients and assignments in just your second year.

It will be a tough three years; balancing client work with exams and revision but the rewards are endless. Once you're qualified you'll have the freedom to stretch your wings and develop through interaction with other business areas and global member firms. You'll even have the opportunity to explore client secondments to get a deeper understanding of how dynamic organisations operate.

You’ll get all the structured training you need to become a professionally qualified, trusted business adviser. This starts with a two-day induction in London where there will be plenty of time to meet your peer group from across the country.

You’ll then spend intensive time at Grant Thornton's dedicated training facility, Bradenham Manor in Buckinghamshire, to develop your technical knowledge, consolidate your learning and get to know your peer group in a relaxed atmosphere.

Interns

Our internships here are highly sought after. You will have the opportunity to get stuck in and do varied, exciting work including taking responsibility for assignments that last from a few days to a couple of months across a range of different sectors.

Summer interns, graduates and 12 month placement students will join a peer group of over 100. Click here to find out more.

The 12-month placement is ideal for those on a four-year sandwich course. You'll work as a full member of the team and take on the same responsibilities as a first-year graduate.

Grant Thornton's summer internship scheme is one of the largest in accountancy but keeps the individual focus. Internships last between four and six weeks. They’re open to all university students in their penultimate year and are offered in over 20 of their offices in the business areas of audit, tax and advisory.

Both Grant Thornton's internships and placements are an excellent way to get a proper insight into the company and its clients. You'll have the opportunity to do real client work and will have a fast-track to a graduate offer.

You’ll develop new skills and build your commercial acumen and confidence across a broad portfolio of clients, supported throughout by a manager and a trainee buddy. Plus you’ll get excellent networking opportunities at a number of national and local social events.

School leavers

In Grant Thornton's fastest growing programme, you'll join almost 100 others who are kick-starting their career right at the heart of business. Click here to find out more.

School leavers on Grant Thornton's 'Accelerate' programme are offered a great alternative route into the company. You'll join a class of almost 100 others who are all equally as passionate, ambitious and eager to take control of their own careers.

In place of a degree you'll train to become a respected business adviser, and will get AAT, ATT or ACCA qualified, depending on the area you join. In all cases, you’ll get top-quality training, plus plenty of support, variety and responsibility at every stage.

If you work hard and pass the exams you'll qualify in the first four years. After that, all sorts of possibilities open up – including moving to other areas of Grant Thornton, in the UK and abroad.
