Summer Internships

If you’re in your penultimate year of an undergraduate degree, or in your final year of study with a one year postgraduate degree place confirmed, our summer internship offers an opportunity to build your skills and confidence.

Working alongside specialists in your chosen business area - you'll be a valued member of the team, with graduate level responsibility. You'll be assigned to client projects to develop your understanding of what we really do. And, you'll build networks with your colleagues and peer group, through our client focused internship challenge. This takes the form of a project enabling you to work with your peers no matter where they are located across the UK and devise solutions or ideas for a real client issue. The opportunity to present to the client in a showcase event as well as networking with peers across the country will give you a real live taste as to what a client pitch is like.

Work placements and summer internships

Working alongside graduate trainees and experienced professionals, you’ll learn about our business and get exposure to a prestigious client list. You’ll benefit from extensive training and will gain a unique insight into working life at PwC.

These 11-month placements are for students who need to complete a placement as part of their degree. Depending on the business area you join, you could sit a selection of professional accounting exams. Part-qualify on placement and you could be offered a promotion upon graduation. If your business area doesn’t carry a professional qualification not to worry - do well on your placement and you could also be offered a position to re-join us on our graduate scheme.

It doesn't matter what degree course you're studying, but you must have a good academic record and be able to show how you've used your initiative and team-working skills. You should also have thoroughly researched the area of PwC you’re applying to and any associated qualification that's involved.

On the work placement you’ll get a comprehensive feel for the challenges of professional services, work with distinguished clients and benefitting from superb learning and development opportunities. Our 11-month work placements start in September and are available at offices across the UK.
