We are one of only five colleges in the UK to be granted Foundation Degree Awarding Powers – meaning our higher education quality and standards are equal to any university in the country. The majority of our degrees are technical or professional and designed to be relevant to industry. In fact, they’re designed in partnership with employers so we know we’re up to date with the latest developments and you know you’re learning from the experts.

Courses and fees
Entry to Warwickshire College Group is points-based depending on the course. For foundation degree offers the majority of courses require a minimum of 160 points. BA/BSc offers require 220 points for the majority of courses - please see our website for more information.
We welcome applications from students of all ages and those with relevant work experience who do not have formal academic qualifications. Tariff points can be achieved from many different qualifications such as National Diplomas, Scottish Highers/Advanced Highers, Irish leaving Certificate and International Baccalureate.

Students from more than 50 countries attend the college each year. Once you have applied our International Office will provide details of additional support, such as advice about visas, help when arriving in the UK and developing English language skills for academic study.
In 2016/17 the fee for the majority of our full-time Higher Education courses is £7,500 per year. The fee for Engineering, Equine and Animal degree courses is £8,555, and for Veterinary Nursing degree courses the first year fee is £7,055 rising to £8,500 for final year of honours degree studies. International students’ course fees are currently £9,250 per year.
Our name, Warwickshire College Group, reflects our family of five individual colleges, each with their own unique identity and personalities.
Royal Leamington Spa College
Home to one of our largest colleges which has undergone a recent £12m transformation, meaning we now boast some of the best facilities in the region. The redevelopment includes a dedicated higher education floor - a hub of activity for degree courses.
Warwick Trident College
Working in partnership with internationally-renowned companies such as Jaguar Land Rover, we deliver industry-driven degree level courses in engineering. In 2015 we opened a £3m advanced engineering centre with state-of-the-art workshops and teaching spaces.
Moreton Morrell College
Covering 750 acres of countryside Moreton Morrell is home to land-based learning. It has a working commercial farm over 230 hectares, an extensive commercial equine centre with stabling for over 120 horses, a centre for veterinary nursing and large animal welfare centre.
The £33 million college has specialist facilities for engineering alongside a commercial conferencing suite. Facilities include also include four hairdressing and beauty salons offering a full range of treatments and all-weather sports pitches, four-court sports hall and multi-gym. Rugby also boasts excellent transport links with direct trains to London in an hour!
The college has undergone a huge transformation in the form of a £5.8m redevelopment that gives students access to state-of-the-art facilities. Housed in a contemporary glass building are a collections house, library, teaching rooms and project spaces. Pershore College is a national centre for horticulture and has some of the best facilities in the UK - including landscape design studios, tropical plant unit, horticulture machinery and modern controlled glasshouses.
Library and facilities
At Warwickshire College Group all staff and students have access to Google drive, documents, and hangouts, all of which make collaborative working simple and extremely productive. We continually assess the way we use technology and invest in new products and services that deliver efficiency - we know that it's crucial that our students have the right tools for the job.
We have fantastic resources available at the libraries at all of our sites and online. Along with our expert staff, these will help you to study and achieve your very best.
Students benefit from access to any of the libraries at all of our colleges. The library catalogue is available online from anywhere - with access to hundreds of e-books, plus journal articles in all subjects. Open access PCs, printers, scanners and photocopiers are available in all the libraries, where there are quiet study areas and group study areas - you’ll also have free unlimited Wi-Fi access.
There’s lots of other facilities available on campus including gyms, hair and beauty salons, student bars and much more.
Student Services are at the heart of our high quality student support system. Our experienced, award-winning team can offer impartial and confidential help on a whole range of subjects, including:

From Freshers’ Fairs to fundraising, club nights to day trips, there’s loads going on thanks to our Students' Union. The SU is made up of a group of elected students whose job is to represent you and look out for your rights and needs. They will make sure your experience at college is the best it can be and run an exciting and growing programme of events and activities.
When you join us you automatically become a member of the Students’ Union, giving you access to SU events and other services on campus – including the Freshers’ Ball and live music nights, awareness-raising events and opportunities to make your voice heard. You could run for election and be part of the official Students’ Union team – it’s a great way to experience everything we have to offer.
We’re proud to offer a wide programme of competitive sports including rugby, football, netball, hockey, golf, clay shooting, basketball, wheelchair basketball and badminton - to name a few. We recruit at all levels of ability, from beginners to county players. The college also has Sportmakers who provide exciting opportunities in sport and physical activity, volunteering and coaching, to help students develop skills for life and enjoy their time at college.
Based at Moreton Morrell College, our new Sports Academies offer two levels of membership:
- Performance Academy – open to all students to take part in a range of sports including rugby, football, equine (dressage and eventing), basketball, tennis, netball and hockey.
- Elite Academy – for students with elite athletic potential or previous elite sporting experience. Our Elite sports consist of rugby, football and equine (dressage and eventing)
Each Academy provides continued support and development for potential and established sports athletes, with a highly supportive and structured training programme.
Our students’ health and welfare is of the utmost priority, which is why we have a dedicated Student Health Awareness Coordinator who works at all centres to provide health and welfare information and events. The college runs themed weeks and awareness days to promote a healthy lifestyle and there are sex and relationship clinics at all centres.
We are committed to ensuring that young people and vulnerable adults in our colleges are offered the information, advice and support that they need to stay safe and be able to actively participate in their education and training.
Warwickshire College Group provides on-site accommodation, however privately rented accommodation such as student houses and flats are also available.
Moreton Morrell College
There are 200 rooms with excellent facilities at hand and a close-knit community feel. On-site facilities include a laundry, bar with large screen televisions and pool table, student common room, shop, sports hall and refectory.
- Avon Hall (catered)
Containing 35 en-suite study bedrooms.
- Jubilee Hall (self-catered)
These 52 bedrooms are reserved for students aged 18+. Jubilee is divided into flats between seven and ten study bedrooms.
- Feldon Hall (catered)
Reserved for students 18+, the bedrooms are separated into flats.
Students living on-site at Pershore College also benefit from access to facilities including a recently revamped Students’ Union, plant centre and shop, refectory and sports hall.
- Bredon and Malvern Halls
Our new accommodation blocks at Pershore College house 97 students on campus, separated into apartments of nine bedrooms. Students have a choice of catered or self-catered packages from which to choose.

The local nightlife scene is popular with students, tourists and residents, and fans of live music, comedy and theatre are well catered for. There are also plenty of bars and clubs to satisfy the party-goer in you. And finally there’s a great selection of top quality restaurants and chilled out places to grab a quick bite to eat.

How much of an emphasis do you place on building workplace skills like presenting, project management and people skills?
Most of our degrees are technical or professional and designed to be relevant to industry. They include a tailored module called Academic Study Skills and Entrepreneurial Thinking - this starts students on their journey of personal development and highlights goals and aspirations.
What support is available to students who are struggling for any reason?
Pastoral support and guidance is given through course tutors as well as our college nurse, college counsellor and health awareness officer. Our Student Services team are on hand for funding support and can advise on internal Special Opportunities Fund (SOF) and external forms of funding including Student Finance England and charitable forms of funding.
What social events do you offer when people first join to help people make friends and settle in?
From Freshers’ Fairs, club nights and day trips, there will be lots going on in your first few weeks of university. We also run Student Symposiums, where all first year students come together for the day to learn and practise new skills.
How far is the campus from the town centre and what is the public transport like?
Our Royal Leamington Spa College and Warwick Trident College are both within walking distance from the centre of Leamington Spa. Rugby College is within walking distance of Rugby town and students can walk to the centre of Pershore from Pershore College. Moreton Morrell College is in the heart of the countryside, however transport is available.
There are over 150 public service bus routes to our colleges, we also have college minibuses which run between the colleges.
How far apart are different university buildings, and how far away is the accommodation?
Different university buildings on the campus are walkable and all we offer a mix of on-campus accommodation and off-campus homestay accommodation, all within walking distance of our colleges.
What percentage of your students get a full time job after 6 months of graduating?
89% of our graduates are employed or undertaking further study.
How much is a pint at the student union?
You can pick up a pint for £2.50 at our Pershore or Moreton Morrell College bar.
What is the ratio of applications to places at your uni?
For Vet Nursing and Vet Physiotherapy up to 15 applications per place.
