Location
UA92 is based at our brand new campus in Old Trafford, Manchester. Our campus approximately 2 miles from Manchester City Centre and is easily accessible by the tram which stops right outside of our campus building. Our neighbours include Lancashire Cricket Club as well as the world-famous football team Manchester United.

Approachable and understanding, our Student Support and Well-Being Team are here when you need advice, guidance, or just to talk through how you’re feeling. We want to set you up for success and will be here to help you overcome life’s challenges along the way.

We aim to provide the most inclusive curriculum we can. Where appropriate, we will provide additional support for students with disabilities on all aspects of learning -including help with funding applications.

Every UA92 Student will have a Personal Development Coach. Your Coach will work with you during your time at UA92 and support you to maximise your personal, academic and professional development potential.

Financial aid

Courses and Entry Requirements

We have a range of courses to help you access degree-level education, no matter what your background.

Undergraduate Courses which require 104 UCAS points include:

Certificate in Higher Education (CertHE) courses which require 64 UCAS points are for learners who either:
- want to study for a degree but don't yet hold the entry requirements for a full degree programme or

- do not want to commit to a full degree programme yet.

Access to Higher Education Diploma in Business and Management.

 The course requires you to have achieved GCSE English and Maths at Grade C or above. Learners who successfully complete the Access to Higher Education Diploma in Business and Management qualification will be guaranteed an offer to study on a UA92 course at UA92.

Tuition fees

The cost of a UA92 degree is £9,000 per year for UK  and EU students in 2019/2020.

 The cost for international students in 2019/2020 is £13,500 per year and you will be expected to pay 50% before your course begins.

We have stunning accommodation available locally at Westpoint.
UA92 are thrilled to be able to offer accommodation with Westpoint; brand new, high-spec apartments just a 10-15 minute walk from our brand-new campus.

You will have your own space which includes your own study area, bathroom and kitchenette facilities. A welcoming communal lounge, great facilities and lots to do locally, means you'll be sure to make friends fast.  

All the apartments at West Point include all your utilities, hyper-fast WiFi and access to private on-site gym and laundry facilities amongst other features. You’ll have your own room with kitchenette and en- suite and there’s access to a communal lounge downstairs.

Students are not obliged to stay at Westpoint and are free to look anywhere else. AMAZING ARTS AND CULTURE

You’ll be spoilt for choice when it comes to arts and culture, with a host of art galleries and museums as well as the iconic Central and John Rylands libraries. Be inspired by artists, enjoy artefacts from around the globe and understand the rich history of a city that grew out of industrial innovation. HOME, a centre for art, theatre and film is a couple of tram stops away and for something closer, you may choose to get involved with the community-led Stretford Public Hall – a multi-purpose venue offering arts, music and wellbeing activities.

SUPERB SHOPPING

Manchester is renowned for its style and shopping. Choose to shop in the city centre or the impressive Trafford Centre – the UK’s second largest indoor centre, just a 15 minute drive from the campus. The vibrant Northern Quarter offers cool boutiques, design studios and locally crafted ceramics and jewellery, with new coffee shops and bars opening all the time. Away from the city and a stone’s throw from the campus is the village-like and bohemian Chorlton, offering quirky independent shops and cafes.

FANTASTIC FOOD AND DRINK

Treat your taste buds to every culinary delight imaginable. Try Ethiopian food for under £10 or Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese as it should be in Chinatown. Go veggie with a splash of yoga on the side at the Buddhist Centre’s Earth Cafe, or tuck into the king of grilled cheese at Northern Soul. Locally, you could try out Altrincham Market, famed for its market-style cuisine and crafts, Cafe Football or even hop on a tram to MediaCityUK for a variety of great food alongside live music, theatre and entertainment.

LEGENDARY SPORT

There’s no denying that Manchester and Old Trafford are entrenched in sporting greatness. Home to two Premier League football teams and world-class sporting venues in the shape of Emirates Old Trafford Cricket Ground – located close to the campus. For those looking to keep active, there will be leisure facilities available on-site and not forgetting the National Cycling Centre, just across the city. So if you support City or United, love cricket or rugby, want to play or cheer on your team, we’re a city of sporting legends!

MUSIC SCENE AND NIGHTS OUT

Some of the world’s greatest and most iconic musicians have come from Manchester; Oasis, The Buzzcocks, Happy Mondays, New Order all influenced the ‘Madchester’ sound that still resonates today. Check out the newest bands at venues like converted chapel Albert Hall or perhaps enjoy international legends at the Manchester Arena. Manchester’s nightlife is well stocked with cocktail bars and night clubs to suit any budget. Or do as a real northerner and get stuck into a ‘proper pint’ at a ‘proper pub’ – there are lots of them.

TRAFFORD LIFE

You may think Manchester is where it’s all happening, but don’t overlook Trafford. Music fans might be interested to know that Joy Division, The Smiths and The Stone Roses have all called Trafford their home. There’s lots to see and do with a cinema and adventure golf – to a name but a few - close by at the Trafford Centre, along with plenty of green space for lovers of the great outdoors. Trafford is an increasingly popular area to live thanks to its fantastic community feel, proximity to Manchester city centre and excellent transport links.

You can start your studies at UA92 in September, November or January.

At UA92 we do not study in terms but rather in 4 blocks.

Each block lasts for 6 weeks.

You study a single subject module worth 25 credits in weeks 1-5 of each block.

Assessments are normally contained within each block; there are no traditional end-of-year-examinations outside of this block structure.

Week 6 o each block focuses on character and personal development as part of the Target Talent Curriculum in a module worth 5 credits.

Block 1 starts in September and block 4 finishes in April, however, November and January entry is possible.

Blocks 5 and 6 facilitate re-assessments or summer study for students enrolling in November or January.

Do you have any famous or notable alumni?

UA92 is a new higher education provider. We don’t yet have any alumni, but we are co-Founded by the Class of 92. After stellar careers on the pitch with Manchester United, Gary Neville, Ryan Giggs, Nicky Butt, Paul Scholes and Phil Neville all went on to excel in highly pressurised and challenging environments in the world of media, and as businessmen. What’s more, their attitude towards preparedness, ability to dream big, and commitment to creating opportunity is recognised the world over. Now, working with Lancaster University, it’s time to give back.

They are passionate about helping others develop the mental and physical capabilities that prepared them to succeed. Put simply, they want to give young people a start in life that’s as exceptional as the character-defining experiences they shared – in the place where it all started for them, Manchester.

How much of an emphasis do you place on building workplace skills like presenting, project management and people skills?

At UA92 we put character and personal development at the core of your learning experience, including preparation for employment, come through our Target Talent Curriculum. The Target Talent Curriculum will develop your cognitive, emotional and social intelligence, your understanding of physical and mental well-being, and your preparedness for employment. This will be through studying a range of Target Talent themes, through engaging and reflecting on work placements and insight visits, and via regular support from your personal development coach. This approach is designed to put you in the best possible place for your university-level studies and to prepare you for a strong career trajectory after graduation. What's university welfare and disability support like?

If you have a disability, long-term health condition or specific learning difficulty (such as dyslexia) our Inclusive Support team can set up a support package for you at UA92 and help you to apply for Disabled Students’ Allowances.

Our Health and Well-Being service can also support you at UA92 and point you to local and national organisations that can help in relation to physical and mental health support, volunteering, faith and belief, safety and security,  sexual health, financial literacy and so much more!
