Student in a Million Award

A nation-wide hunt to find and reward the most inspiring students of 2012

Do you know a student who’s one in a million? Do the things they’ve done, big or small, deserve to be recognised and celebrated? Then enter them into our Student in a Million awards by October 1st as a way to reward what they’ve done.

About the Student in a Million award

Following a year of explosive growth, The Student Room smashed the 1 million member milestone on July 24th 2012. To celebrate the amazing amount of support the community has received from students and to give something back, we’re now on the hunt for the most inspiring student stories of 2012. We’re looking for students who are literally one in a million!

It couldn’t be easier to enter. Simply fill out the form at the foot of this page, telling us why you or a student you know has done something inspiring. The award is split into three categories, with the winners being recognised among the rest of the student community in a feature on The Student Room and at an awards ceremony in Autumn.

Award Categories

1) ‘Greatest Achievement’ – recognising a student who’s achieved something very special (e.g. been featured in an art gallery, started a company, broken a record).
2) ‘Against All Odds’ – recognising a student who has defied all odds to make something happen (e.g. completed a degree when everyone said they couldn’t, done something special for someone else).
3) ‘TSR Superstar’ – an award to recognise a TSR member who has used the site to make a difference to someone’s life.

The prizes

Category winners: not only will winners be celebrated on The Student Room, they will receive an award to keep forever and be given a prize of £100 Amazon vouchers.

Runners up: two runners up in each category will also be given £20 of Amazon vouchers and a certificate to keep.
