Students who have just taken their GCSEs on the news that their qualification is set to be scrapped
The Student Room's team of video bloggers have their say on the government's decision to introduce the English Baccalaureate Certificate system in place of GCSEs.
All of these bloggers took their GCSE exams this summer, and have just started A-levels.
"I feel like I've been insulted today."
"I completely agree with the government that GCSEs are way too easy"
"I think that having one exam at the end of the course is a very practical idea."
"Just having one exam at the end of the year is pathetic - what about if someone has problems at home?"
"The government's only way of dealing with exam issues is to change the system, rather than improving teaching in schools."
And here's Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg offering his own opinion on why change is needed.
