Recipe - bean and potato hash browns - The Student Room

Ingredients

  • Potatoes (1 large one or a few smaller ones)
  • Tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 tsp butter or margerine
  • Few drops olive oil
  • Small tin of baked beans (or half a normal-sized can)

Method

  1. Peel the potatoes and chop into small chunks
  2. Boil in water until soft, then drain
  3. Mash potatoes with the milk and butter
  4. Mix in the beans (try not to get too much sauce in) and mash a bit more
  5. Form the mixture into small balls and flatten into burger shapes
  6. Fry the Hash Browns until they are brown on both sides and serve hot

Comments

Good with ketchup, brown sauce, or a fried egg on top. Nice for breakfast, good hangover food too!
