- Batter (plain flour and fizzy water)
- Oil (for frying)
Cut squid into rings- about 1cm thick, dip in batter.
Would recommend Tempura batter of fizzy water and plain flour.
Fry until just golden (otherwise will go rubbery).
I've not made this recipe at home myself yet, but just wanted to say that calamari is great. I was very reluctant to try it at first, but I love it now and have eaten it when out several times. Just give it a go - and you might really like it. Roger Kirk 13:32, 15 January 2008 (GMT)
