Recipe - malt loaf


  • 1 mug of cold tea
  • 1 mug of sultanas
  • 1 egg
  • 1 mug wholemeal self-raising flour (or regular white self raising flour is fine too)


  • A 2lb loaf tin is pretty much essential or it doesn't come out right!


  1. Soak sultanas in tea overnight
  2. Mix in a large bowl with all other ingredients
  3. Put in oven at 150 degrees
  4. Leave to cool and enjoy!


Slice and spread with butter, eat on its own, with custard, dipped in tea, its all good!
