Just looking at that spec list, it’s immediately apparent that there isn’t a clear cut winner here. Both of these phones have plenty to offer and will offer some incredible features, no matter what. What it really comes down to is the budget of the person buying and what matters most to them.

Across the board, a lot of the features are on-par or very nearly identical. Where you’ll see the main differences is in the camera, storage space and, of course, the price.

Battery life - Honor View 20 vs Xiaomi Pocophone F1

Battery capacity and overall lifespan are one of the ways in which both the Honor View 20 and Xiaomi Pocophone F1 match up. Both of these devices are packed with a 4000 mAh battery that will offer - potentially - up to two days worth of battery from a single full charge. During regular use, that number is likely to be more like a day or 1.5 days, but smartphones are smartphones.

In addition to the lifespan, both devices are capable of quick charging, though neither is capable of wireless charging.

Camera - Honor View 20 vs Xiaomi Pocophone F1

This category is a bit more one-sided. When it comes to camera quality there is definitely a clear winner in the Honor View 20. The Xiaomi Pocophone F1 features an adequate point-and-shoot camera, but at only 12MP compared to the Honor View 20’s 48MP, it doesn’t really come close to competing.

For what it’s worth, both sets of cameras offer relatively the same features - face detection, digital zoom, autofocus, HDR, etc. But when looking at the basics, the Honor View 20 is capable of an image resolution of 8000 x 6000 pixels against the Pocophone F1’s 4000 x 3000. It’s a no brainer here.

In-hand Feel - Honor View 20 vs Xiaomi Pocophone F1

In terms of build and presence, there’s very little between either of these phones. There are only marginal differences in weight (the Pocophone F1 is a whopping 0.2 grams heavier) and thickness (the Honor View 20 is slightly thinner, by 0.7 mm) and everything else is fairly similar.

Build quality is, perhaps predictably, better on the pricier Honor View 20, but given that your phone will almost definitely be inside a case of some kind, you’re not missing out on too much if you go with the Pocophone F1.

Screen - Honor View 20 vs Xiaomi Pocophone F1

This one is an interesting one. While you may expect the more recent (and more expensive) Honor View 20 to easily take the lead here, you may be surprised to know that the Pocophone F1 has a startlingly impressive display that, during everyday use, is largely identical to its more prestigious companion.

Further to that, the Pocophone F1 actually technically offers a better pixel density - with 403 pixels per inch compared to the Honor View 20’s 398 pixels per inch. Of course, that kind of difference - as well as the resolution difference of 1080 x 2310 vs 1080 x 2246, is negligible. Suffice to say, with either of these phones, you’ll be getting a stellar LCD screen.

The WOW Factor - Honor View 20 vs Xiaomi Pocophone F1

It’s absolutely not a fabrication to say that both of these phones are impressive. They both offer crisp, clear displays with impeccable video playback quality and a myriad features on top of all that.

All that said, the Pocophone F1 is a smartphone option for the budget conscious and while it is a spectacular device, there’s no denying that the Honor View 20 would capture the attention of all your friends, family, colleagues and possibly the odd strangers. You’ll be paying for the privilege but this honour goes to the Honor View 20.

Final Verdict - Honor View 20 vs Xiaomi Pocophone F1

This is absolutely a choice that will inevitably come down to a couple of factors. How much you want to spend on your new smartphone and how important the camera is to you in a device like this.

If you don’t mind spending some extra cash and the camera quality is vital to you, you’re going to want to save your pennies and get the Honor View 20. If you’re on a budget or having a camera in your phone is more of a nice bonus, the Pocophone F1 will do you proud. Other than these factors, there’s not a lot separating these two thoroughly impressive handsets,
