New site The Uni Guide features tools and advice features to help those applying to uni
The Student Room has today launched a new website based on award-winning content from Which? University.
Many of the articles and tools that featured on the Which? University website can now be found on The Uni Guide; a site that provides advice and information for those applying to university.
The Uni Guide launches with the course and university search tools from Which? University, as well as many of its expert advice articles.
The Which? University website ceases to be a standalone website, however this agreement with The Student Room means that valuable content will remain accessible to students.
“We are delighted to have found a great new home for much of our excellent university content,” says Jenni Allen, Which? director of content. “We chose to work with the Student Room as they share our mission to be a trusted, independent source of information for students.
“We are exceptionally proud of the fact that we have helped millions of prospective students and their families make informed choices about all aspects of their higher education over the years, and our agreement with The Student Room ensures that many more will benefit in future.”
Much of Which? University's award-winning content is now available on The Uni Guide, including a university course search tool and A-level Explorer feature.
The university course search tool enables applicants to quickly search through more than 30,000 university courses, adding filters such as entry requirements, location and course topics.
A-level Explorer presents degree courses that are a good match for an applicant's A-level or BTEC subjects.
Which? will continue to cover student finance and personal statement topics on its core site at which.co.uk.
New site The Uni Guide is owned by The Student Room Group, but will operate as a separate site from The Student Room.
"The Student Room has always held Which? University in the highest regard and we have worked together in partnership in the past,” says Pete Barnes, managing director of The Student Room. “We are delighted that the service will now continue to support future generations of university applicants".
“As part of The Student Room family, The Uni Guide will allow us to help even more students in their educational journey.
“We will continue to develop the site as a market-leading source of guidance and will be introducing new services to deepen the support we offer to university applicants.”
