A-level Maths grade boundaries

How the A-level Maths grade boundaries have been set by AQA, Edexcel and OCR

Once you've finished your A-level Maths exams and your papers have all been marked, your final mark is translated into an A-level grade by referring to grade boundaries.

Those grade boundaries define how many marks you need to get, in order to achieve each grade. These boundaries change every year. Students will find some papers harder than others, and so exam boards will keep things fair for everyone by adjusting grade boundaries to reflect that.

You can read more about what grade boundaries are for and how they are set in our guide to grade boundaries.

On this page, we've got A-level Maths grade boundaries from the past few years for each of AQA, Edexcel and OCR. You can use the quick links below to jump straight to a specific exam board's grade boundaries.

And in the forums you'll find maths discussions on The Student Room, as well as discussions specifically about maths exams.
