This is standard advice but when you visited both those unis, is there one you preferred? They both have excellent maths departments so it would be hard choosing one over the other in that respect. Take a look at the courses maybe: Warwick's degree has a much stronger focus in pure mathematics (analysis, geometry, topology) whilst Imperial's has more emphasis in its applied maths modules (namely mathematical physics). It's probably far too early for you to know which area of mathematics you are interested in but this may give you an idea.

Back in 2006 I had offer from both universities and chose Warwick. Warwick (Coventry) will certainly be quieter than Imperial (London), not sure if this has actually helped me perform better as I haven't studied in a big city and hence can't compare. However, Warwick's mathematics facilities are exceptionally good and I'm sure that has helped me in some way.

I got an offer on Wednesday for Maths (4-year MMath) but I'm pretty sure I'm going to go to Warwick or Bristol instead.... :s:

Breaking Bad is immense! Just started watching season 2.:

I don't really like London, I have decided. It's splendid enough, but too much for me - I'm sick of working here, I want to get out.
I took a look at the Uni and the Maths department briefly today, from what I saw I wasn't very impressed with the building, or with the social groups I saw walking around... It's just not me. Private schooled London kids are so, so irritating. (I went to private school, but I'm from the country).
FINALLY finally got my offer XD Hooray!! XD The waiting had been driving me mad!! Now just have to wait for August...
I'm still waiting. I've come to realize that probably means I won't get an offer (sniff)...

Congrats. Can you post your details as requested in the first post? It's useful for other applicants.

Regarding Imperial vs Warwick though, lots of people choose to go to Warwick and I do think their course is better. If you prefer Warwick, then go for it . Warwick's overall university reputation is probably less than Imperial's, but their maths reputation is equivalent, if not better.

I like nice and quiet place then I can enjoy myself with friends in pubs lol. I dont think I will have enough money to stay in London, but I will wait a bit to decide. Thanks a lot for your reply.

Thanks for your advice. The only thing worrying me is about the money I think. I would like to study a Maths master degree in another uni.

Is it necessary to send the january exam results to the college?

Probably AAA with A in C1-C4 and FP1-FP3, or they may ask for an A in every single Maths module.... Or it may be just AAA with a 2 or a Merit.
