ok it sais

In the manufacture of margarine, unsaturated vegetable oils such as sunflower oil are hardened
(A)
2 a) state the reagent and conditions used in this process

b) soft and hard margarines are obtained from the same vegetable oil. how does the structure and the melting point of soft margarine differ from that of a hard one

then p2:

(B) In the presence of reagent X, the alcohol shown below undergoes a reaction to form two isomeric alkenes
HO H
| |
Ch3-C - - C ---CH3
| |
H CH3
a) name the alcohol

b) give the name of type type of reaction involved in the formation of the two alkenes

c) suggest the identity of reagent X

ok for (A)

2a) reagent = Hydrogon ( H2)

condition = Ni ( catalyst )

b) difference in structure : has more c=c bonds or you cud say that the soft marg is more UNSATURATED than the hard marge

B

a) not sure the name of the alcohol - it's a long word beginnig with methyl...

b) dehydration, elimnation etc

c) H2S04 that or either H3P04

not sure on the last one FEEL FREE TO DOUBLE CHECK ME
