I'm no mathmo ( :afraid: ) but that first module sounds quite interesting, from the title alone!

Thanks for the tag, please continue tagging away  Here to cheer you on, even if I don't understand all the maths stuff (I lack a STEM-side to my brain :teehee: ) :rave: :woo: :nutcase: :yeah: :ahee:
Good luck, tag me?
Sooooo excited for this!! :excited:

Can't wait to hear how you get on (and amazing title too!) :woo:
Posting to watch :ninja: Massive good luck for this year, you've got this :jumphug:

I know this wasn’t directed at me :colondollar: but I would definitely recommend GYG as it’s great to help you stay on track but can also help others massively too
@Protostar this is the year where you start to specialise right? What are you narrowing down to?

I really recommend GYG  it's helped me stay motivated loads over the years as it makes me want to do work so I have things to write about!

:nah: all modules are compulsory until 3rd year! So I have no idea yet

First update of the new blog  Probably won't be very juicy as I'm not back at uni for a few weeks yet, but I'll just say what I've been up to over the summer

June

So my summer began on the 6th of June after my final exam, and we all went and got drinks after to celebrate. I spent all of the 7th cleaning and packing, and I came home on the 8th. On the 9th I took my sister to see the latest X Men film, and we got food and had a good laugh. Then my bf came up on the 10th, I had an orthodontist appointment which went fine as well  The rest of June was basically spent taking my sister to school, going to Spoons a few times and chilling out! I got my first year results and found out I got a first, which I was chuffed with  The very end of the month saw some lovely weather so we made the most of it by going to a nearby river and having a sort-of picnic, which was lovely

July

On the 1st of July I got the keys to my new house in Newcastle, so we moved all my stuff over from my old flat and into the house! It took a while and lots of effort but eventually it was done, and the house is lovely  I have one of the attic rooms with a velux (?) window which is just so lush, I love it  lugging all my stuff up 2 flights of stairs wasn't very fun but we managed! We spent a couple of days in Newcastle afterwards because it was more fun than being bored at home, and then came back. We spent a few days at home not really doing anything exciting, before it was back up to Newcastle to see one of my other friends who had moved in  From there we then went up to Scotland to see a fab TSR friend, which was fab :awesome: On the way out of Newcastle we stopped at the new drive thru Greggs which was weird but I kinda loved it  and then a few days later headed back home, stopping at some pretty places along the way! During the few days I was at home I saw some friends from school as one of them invited us all round for pizza and drinks which was good fun, and then soon after we took my grandma up to Newcastle with us to help clean my old flat, which took hoursssss but we did a really thorough job so it was all worth it :yep: and then I handed my key card in and officially moved outta there! Thank goodness :colondollar: The weather was still gorgeous when we got home so we had a few picnics in the park, and we also went bowling (I won :colone:)

August

August started with us going down to the west mids to do some work at a festival, which was great fun  We stayed down there for a while, staying in student accommodation for a few days in a really dodgy area which was a bit scary  After we left there we went down to where my bf lives and stayed there for a short while before going down to TSR HQ for A Level results day! I had a great time and it was lovely to see everyone again  straight from there we had to go up north for a few days but we were soon back in the south afterwards (:yucky:) Another trip to the midlands and back around GCSE results day, and again a week later :colondollar: and then back down to London once more - so much travelling this month! At the very end of August we went fruit picking which was actually great fun! We picked loads of strawberries and raspberries, and also got a couple of corn cobs too, was a fab way to spend an afternoon :yep:

September

Kicked off the month of September by going for a nice meal to celebrate my bf's auntie's birthday - we had Spanish food which isn't my favourite and the veggie options were limited but I still enjoyed what I had! :yum: Then the next day we were celebrating another birthday - bf's nan's this time  we went for a really nice meal which we all absolutely loved, I had a sweet potato curry for my main which was honestly the best curry I've ever eaten , and then after that we went to see Mamma Mia at the theatre, which was UNREAL :adore: we all had such a great time! I came home on the 4th, got the train back and there was dramaaaa - I got on the train and put my suitcase in the luggage bit as you do, then went and sat in my seat until we arrived in Leeds. Went to get my suitcase and it wasn't there :afraid: so I grabbed the last one there, which wasn't mine, and was told to go to the info desk at the station which I did. I was looking at everyone's suitcases as I speed walked past them to see if any of them had mine but they didn't  this suitcase had a phone number on it so I tried calling it but no one answered (it looked like a home phone number) so I was starting to get really scared :frown: got to the info desk and joined the queue, still trying to ring this number when I saw this older couple with what looked like it could be my case! So I walked up to them and asked if I could look at it, explained what had happened and the man realised that I had his and he had mine - as the people who helped them put it on the train gave them the wrong one back :grumble: luckily we both got our cases back and the crisis was avoided :adore: I then headed home, then into town to meet my sister, then home again. Thursday was a very boring day as I had nothing to do, no one to see and I'm broker than broke so couldn't go out, so it was very dull :emo: but then yesterday I met up with my grandma for food, coffee and a catch-up which was lovely, she also gave me some money so I could go out and see some friends last night, which I did, we went to spoons and had some drinks and a catch up which I really enjoyed :yep: it's good to be back! Today I'm gonna head into town to see my sister at work but other than that I have no plans :dontknow:

Spoiler

That's about it! I've not really got anything to do between now and moving back to Newcastle on the 19th, so things might be a bit quiet until then. I really can't wait to go back, I can't wait to see my friends and I'm looking forward to starting second year :yep: just want to go now if I'm honest!

Hope everyone's had a good summer - until next time! :wavey:
