Oh crap, I listened to Little Richard last week but forgot to give it a score or review oops. I think I'll give it a 7.5/10, I didn't get that into it but performance-wise it was very good.

(debatable as to when rock & roll really kicks off though, there's also Rocket 88 from 3 years earlier)
Tom Waits - Mule Variations

A bit dreary, found myself skipping a lot and didn't really enjoy any of them (although none were terrible). Gave up on the 8th track. 4/10
Mule Variations. Damn this one is long. Another one of my suggestions that I've not actually listened to, except for a couple songs - I think they were Big In Japan, What's He Building and Chocolate Jesus.

My favourites from this album were the Big In Japan, Black Market Baby, Picture In A Frame and Chocolate Jesus. Tom Waits is very unique, this album's almost like if blues had its own equivalent of death metal. But he sings well despite his lungs being made mostly of tobacco ash. 8/10 for me.

What's He Building was also used as a set opener by Muse back in their early days
Tom Waits - Mule Variations

Big in Japan - Interesting sound, I like. :yy:

Lowside of the Road - Little bit slow for me.

Hold On - Couldn't make out a lot of the words, but it sounded alright! :p:

Get Behind the Mule - Nice, if a little long.

House Where Nobody Lives - Melancholic. :yy:

Cold Water - Best so far. :yy:

Pony - Not bad.

What’s He Building? - WOW. That got my attention. Haven't a clue what to call it, but it was brilliant. :yy:

Black Market Baby - Really good. :yy:

Eyeball Kid - Bizarre, but my kind of bizarre. :yy:

Picture in a Frame - Short but sweet. :yy:

Chocolate Jesus - :yum:

Georgia Lee - Heartbreaking. :yy:

Filipino Box Spring Hog - Wow.

Take It with Me - Bittersweet. :yy:

Come on Up to the House - Strong ending.

Long, but worth the time, this gets a 9/10 from me!

Can now confirm that album numbers are correct as of the start of this page. :p:
The lists of albums picked & backlog of albums to listen to in the second post are now both up to date, to the best of my knowledge - do feel free to point out any glaring errors. :yay: I should be able to keep it up to date now that the hard part is done. Cheers again @Sinnoh for keeping scores. :five:

No problem, list fixed. :yy: I think it was probably a bad copy-paste job, given that 'Rage Against The Machine - Self Titled' was in the same original suggestion post. :p:

If I start a band I'll call the debut album "Self Titled" just to screw with people
Eagles, Hotel California

Hotel California - I always liked this song. :yy::yy:

New Kid in Town - This one, too. :yy:

Life in the Fast Lane - Alright, but overhyped IMO.

Wasted Time - Lovely. :yy:

Wasted Time (Reprise) - Pleasant short instrumental.

Victim of Love - Really good. :yy:

Pretty Maids All in a Row - Nice guitar, pretty lyrics, but it didn't do much for me for some reason.

Try and Love Again - That's more like it. :yy::yy:

The Last Resort - Depressing, yet somehow also calming? :yy:

8/10, very varied, some tracks more to my tastes than others. Also, it's about time I gave the number nine key a rest, looking at my last three reviews. :colondollar:
Eagles - Hotel California

Pretty good, sounded nice and I liked the songs. 8/10
Hotel California - yes

New Kid In Town - this is the first song by The Eagles I've heard that isn't Hotel California. Anyway it's alright

Life In The Fast Lane - I quite like this

Wasted Time (both of them) - pleasant

Victim of Love - Hendrix-esque, like it a lot

Pretty Maids All In A Row - eh

Try And Love Again - nice

The Last Resort - Good ending

Yes I think we're on for another consistent one, 8/10
Surrealistic Pillow

She Has Funny Cars - Solid intro. :yy:

Somebody To Love - Grace's vocals! :yy:

My Best Friend - Alright, maybe a bit sickly sweet for my tastes.

Today - Criminally underrated. :yy:

Comin’ Back To Me - Nice. :yy:

3/5 Of A Mile In 10 Seconds - Love this one! :yy:

D.C.B.A.-25 - Passable filler track.

How Do You Feel - Fantastic harmonies. :yy:

Embryonic Journey - Very sweet instrumental.

White Rabbit - How this slipped past any radio censorship back in the day mystifies me. Fun song. :yy:

Plastic Fantastic Lover - Possibly the best song ever written about a guy's love for his TV. :yy:

Another 8/10~
Jefferson Airplane - Surrealistic Pillow

Some good tracks, but I thought most were just okay. 6/10
