100 Albums!!!!! Enjoy
Billy Joel - The Stranger

Get it Right the First Time is a bit disappointing, otherwise a brilliant album. 9/10
Added John Martyn - Solid Air to the backlog, because One World was a while ago but went down well.
Right well this is annoying, I wrote a song-by-song review of The Stranger, hit submit aaaaand it's gone.

9/10 for that album, 1/10 for TSR

of the albums I discovered from this thread, One World is the one I've definitely listened to the most
Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited

Like a Rolling Stone - A classic. :yy: Also made me realise we didn't have any Rolling Stones albums in the first 100! :zomg:

Tombstone Blues - Not really my style of music, but the lyrics are clever. :yy:

It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry - Nice. :yy:

From a Buick 6 - Good. :yy:

Ballad of a Thin Man - Best so far? :yy:

Queen Jane Approximately - Alright, starting to sound a bit samey though.

Highway 61 Revisited - This one was fun. :yy:

Just Like Tom Thumb’s Blues - Meh.

Desolation Row - More of the same, but much longer... and yet, I liked this one. :yy:

7/10
At the centre of the 'electric Dylan controversy'... it's Highway 61 Revisited!
(still the first time I intentionally listen to a full Bob Dylan album)

Like a Rolling Stone - ****ing legendary.

Tombstone Blues - some really good guitar work there

It Takes a Lot to Laugh, It Takes a Train to Cry - very nice

From a Buick 6 - not as interesting as the last few

Ballad of a Thin Man - epic.

Queen Jane Approximately - pretty good

Highway 61 Revisited - nice. I want Bob Dylan to write the rest of the Bible in this style.

Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues - decent. Music not as interesting as the lyrics tbh

Desolation Row - strange but good, a nice end to such a rock-driven album

If there's one thing I don't like about this album, it's that the structure of the songs is pretty basic, at most it's just alternating verse and chorus and it can get a bit tiring. But maybe that would distract from the lyrics too much otherwise.
I already knew Like a Rolling Stone and Ballad of a Thin Man and they're my favourite of the bunch, but I really like Tombstone Blues as well.

9/10, maybe I'll up my score retrospectively
Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited

I'm a big fan of Bob Dylan, but if you are not in the mood for some serious harmonica playing, then this album isn't for you. Feel like the full album was just a touch too much for me.

7/10
Revisiting a band from the first week of this thread, because we finally can:

Bob Dylan - Highway 61 Revisited

7/10. Not bad but not really my thing
Led Zeppelin II

Whole Lotta Love - Great song, and that instrumental in the middle! :zomg: :yy::yy:

What Is and What Should Never Be - Very different from the first, but again featured a great instrumental break. :yy:

The Lemon Song - Even after the first two tracks, I wasn't ready for that guitar solo. :zomg: Didn't like the rest that much, though.

Thank You - NICE. :yy:

Heartbreaker - Also good. :yy:

Living Loving Maid (She’s Just a Woman) - :yy:

Ramble On - LOTR references, I approve. :yy:

Moby **** - All instrumental, all amazing. :yy:

Bring It On Home - And a solid final track. :yy:

9/10, not quite as good as IV, but still excellent.
Never listened to a Led Zeppelin album before.
(I think all the songs are new to me except Whole Lotta Love)

Whole Lotta Love - meaty riff and if only the solo was longer

What Is and What Never Should Be - a lot different but still excellent

The Lemon Song - (though a few too many yelps?)

Thank You - very good

Heartbreaker - I get to hear the rest of the song yay.

Living Loving Maid - very good

Ramble On - different again, also v good

Moby Diçk - I like it

Bring It on Home - and this one too

This is one of those rare moments when I really wonder why I didn't listen to this sooner. 10/10.
Peggy Lee - Black Coffee :coffee:

Black Coffee - Fantastic intro. :yy:

I’ve Got You Under My Skin - Classic. :yy:

Easy Living - Slower, nice. :yy:

My Heart Belongs To Daddy - That was amazing. :yy::yy:

A Woman Alone With The Blues - Sad, but lovely. The chimes(?) at the end were a nice touch. :yy:

I Didn’t Know What Time It Was - Yes, clock chimes, leading into this track. :ms: Fun song. :yy:

When the World Was Young - DAMN. :yy::yy:

Love Me Or Leave Me - Perfect ending to a perfect album. :yy:

10/10. Fantastic voice, and a lot more variation than with the obvious comparison, Lady in Satin.
Led Zeppelin II

7/10? Not so sure I like this one.
Peggy Lee - Black Coffee

Not my genre, but good. 8/10
Black Coffee was quite nice, entertaining instrumentals too especially on My Heart Belongs To Daddy. I quite like the general atmosphere as well. 8/10.
I'm not sure why people were so ok with referring to a male sexual partner as "daddy" though. It still seems weird.

The Spotify version has a few extra tracks that aren't on the actual listing btw oh, that's the 1956 re-issue :ms:
All About Eve2

Flowers In Our Hair - This is very much my genre. :yy:

Gypsy Dance - Hasn't aged well, but the sound is nice enough.

In The Clouds - Alright.

Martha's Harbour - Better. :yy:

Every Angel - Almost.

Like Emily - :yy:

Shelter From The Rain - Noice. :yy:

She Moves Through The Fair - Haunting. :yy:

Wild Hearted Woman - Passable.

Never Promise (Anyone Forever) - Liked this. :yy:

Apple Tree Man - Meh.

What Kind Of Fool - Lovely. :yy:

In The Meadow - Creepy... I approve. :yy:

Lady Moonlight - An okay ending.

8/10, appealed to my tastes overall, but a little samey.
All About Eve

Flowers in Our Hair - Like it, nice voice
