A bit later than planned. :ahee: I gave Origin Of Symmetry a full 10/10, so this should be good. :excited:

Muse - Black Holes & Revelations

Take a Bow - Good stuff. :yy:

Starlight - Don't know where or when (or even if) I've heard this before, but it felt strangely and strongly nostalgic? :yy:

Supermassive Black Hole - That QUALITY 144p official music video on Youtube. :coma: Song was quality of a less sarcastic kind, though. :yy:

Map of the Problematique - Yes indeed. :yy:

Soldier’s Poem - Short but... bittersweet? :dontknow:

Invincible - Ooh, this video is an impressive 240p! :zomg: I needed something more positive after Soldier's Poem. :yy:

Assassin - Noice. :yy:

Exo-Politics - The sci-fi fan in me approves. :yy:

City of Delusion - Spanish guitar. :yy:

Hoodoo - DAMN. :yy:

Knights of Cydonia - I'm still listening to Hoodoo as I type this, but I already know Knights of Cydonia, and that this album is another 10/10. :yy:

Now I'm thinking we need to do a much less popular Muse album next time, you seem to like them more than I do now
Muse - Black Holes and Revelations

Somehow I've managed to never listen to muse

Take a Bow - A few too many instruments at once?

Starlight - Much better, liked it :yy:

Supermassive Black Hole - Not bad

Map of the Problematique - Okay

Soldier's Poem - Bit sad

Invincible - Very nice

Exo-Politics - Good

City of Delusion - Reminds me of MCR for some reason, liked it

Hoodoo - Okay

Knights of Cydonia - Very good :yy:

Glorious - Pretty good

7/10. Not great, not bad

(Although for the first half or so I had mono audio on, so I might give it another listen at some point).
Bill Withers - Just As I Am

Harlem - Fun. :yy:

Ain’t No Sunshine - So that's who wrote and sung this! :ms: A classic. :yy:

Grandma’s Hands - Short but sweet. :yy:

Sweet Wanomi - Good. :yy:

Everybody’s Talkin’ - I've been familiar with the Harry Nilsson cover since childhood... Bill's is probably fine, but just doesn't sound 'right' to me.

Do It Good - Loved this. :yy:

Hope She’ll Be Happier - Bittersweet. :yy:

Let It Be - Another cover, but this one I'm fine with. :yy:

I’m Her Daddy - Powerful. :yy:

In My Heart - Didn't do much for me.

Moanin’ and Groanin’ - Okay.

Better Off Dead - Strong (if very depressing!) end. :yy:

9/10

Poll has been updated :blow:
Bill Withers - Just as I am

9/10. Some really great tracks, not 100% sold on a couple though.

I'll recommend Dare! by The Human League to replace this one
Teaser and the Firecat

The Wind - Love this! :yy:

Rubylove - Great instrumentals. :yy:

If I Laugh - Alright.

Changes IV - An interesting change of pace, but not for me.

How Can I Tell You - Yeah, his slow songs are better. :yy:

Tuesday’s Dead - Guess it's Wednesday, then. :rip: Again, alright.

Morning Has Broken - YES. :yy:

Bitterblue - Good stuff. :yy:

Moonshadow - The reason I suggested this over 'Tea for the Tillerman', despite its new 50th anniversary remake. A long time favourite. :yy:

Peace Train - Glide on the peace train :yy:

7/10
Looks like my choice killed the thread, again. :ahee: But I'm calling the poll now while there's an obvious winner:

Album #110

The Strokes - Is This It

Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/3EeZu1PTUY341mnNEiyiYl

Runners up with at least one vote will be added to the backlog.
The Strokes - Is This It

Is This It - Nice voice. :yy:

The Modern Age - Catchy. :yy:

Soma - Not bad I guess, but starting to sound a bit samey already?

Barely Legal - Forgettable.

Someday - Better. :yy:

Alone, Together - Grew on me. :yy:

Last Nite - Nah.

Hard to Explain - Feels like the vocals are getting quieter with each song, and the guitar getting louder. Pleasant, but incomprehensible.

New York City Cops - That's more like it! :yy:

Trying Your Luck - Meh.

Take It or Leave It - Take it. :yy:

6/10, almost but not quite my kind of music.
oh whoops
Just As I Am was a good one. No bad songs, a couple that stood out, nice cover of Let It Be. 8/10

Currently listening to Cat Stevens now!
Adding Simply Red - Stars to the list.
This album missed out on being picked for best of the 2000s some time ago. Anyway!

This Is It - nice enough.

The Modern Age - pretty good

Soma - alright

Barely Legal - similar

Someday - oh it's this song! yeah I like it.

Alone, Together - pretty good

Last Nite - solo should've been longer

Hard To Explain - alright

New York City Cops - good

Trying Your Luck - alright

Take It Or Leave It - pretty good.

7/10, nothing bad but nothing standing out too much. Favourites were Someday and Take It Or Leave It.
Cat Stevens - Teaser and the Firecat

mostly sounds very nice, 7/10
The Strokes - Is This It

Also 7/10, pretty good but nothing special

Eric Clapton - Slowhand

Cocaine - As with all drug songs, I'll take the singer's word for it! Sounds good though. :yy:

Wonderful Tonight - Lovely. :yy::yy:

Lay Down Sally - Nice. :yy:

Next Time You See Her - Fun. :yy:

We're All the Way - Alright, bit slow for me.

The Core - More like it. :yy: Long, but those instrumentals were GOOD.

May You Never - A solid cover of a John Martyn classic. :yy:

Mean Old Frisco - Liked this. :yy:

Peaches and Diesel - And this makes it 9/10. :yy:
Slowhand was very good. Familiar with the first three songs, but The Core was quite a surprise and possibly my favourite from the album and I'm glad to have discovered it.

8.5/10 for me
