Not bad. Sounds good, nice variety and I liked the lyrics but I'd prefer a bit more energy. 8/10
Basically ditto everything theloniouss said about Nico & The Velvet Underground, including the 8/10 score. This is the second time I listen to it, but I like it better this time around I think.

Vulfpeck - The Joy of Music, The Job of Real Estate

Bach Vision Test - Retro gamer in me says yes. :yy:

3 on E - Genius! :yy:

Test Drive - Great instrumental. :yy: Also, if you're not watching their music videos for these tracks, you're missing out!

Radio Shack - Quality. :yy:

LAX - Fun. :yy:

Poinciana - Thought this one might be one step TOO weird for me... but it grew on me fast. :yy:

Eddie Buzzsaw - That dancing! :yy:

Something - Apparently they can do good covers of more normal songs, too! :yy:

Santa Baby - Fine, but didn't stand out compared to their earlier tracks.

Off and Away - And all of a sudden, completely different band! Earthquake Lights are great too. :yy: Love the idea of auctioning off a track.

9/10, so much fun and creativity.
Vulfpeck - The Joy of Music, The Job of Real Estate

10/10 for me. My favourites were Radio shack, Poinciana, Off and Away and Something.
The album just gives off very happy slice of life animé theme song vibes but a lot more chill. The beautiful vocals (especially on '3 on e'), the retro game vibes, the instruments. Goregous.

Rihanna- Anti

Consideration- A bit eerie and I love SZA's vocals! :redrose:

James Joint- Love her voice and the instruments in this! So short tho :frown: wish it lasted longer. :redrose:

Kiss it better- Can't believe I used to dislike this song! Love it! :redrose:

Work- This song is a vibe. Urgh 2016 vibes damn I miss that year. Nostalgic :redrose:

Desperado- This is something different from Rihanna. Absolutely love the whole 'wild Cali runaway' feel lol reminds me of a dior advert :redrose:

Woo- I checked it and Travis Scott is doing the background vocals! I love her vocals in this too. The beat is simple but the vocals make it a little more complex :redrose:

Needed me- Lol used to hate this song. A lot more emotional :redrose:

Yeah, I said it- The softer vocals really complements the instrumental! I love it when the piano comes in :redrose:

Same Ol' mistakes- This song was how I found Tame Impala (Kevin Parker). At first, her version was my favourite but then I slowly grew to love the original. I'm glad she stuck with the original arrangement! Rihanna's softer and breathier vocals definelty suit the song's calm psychedelic indie rock sound. Brilliant cover! :redrose:

Never ending- This reminds me of Rosé from Blackpink cos I can just hear her singing this song. It's much different from what you'd expect from Rihanna. I think this song shows her versatility (she has in the past explored rock as well) and it's one of the many reasons why I love her as an artist. A much more mellow and innocent love song. :redrose:

Love on the brain- I love her more raspier and soulful vocals (and that falsetto tho)! Then all of a sudden mixes r'n'b with rock for a little bit in the first part of the chorus . A much more sensual love song. I think she's just exploring new ways to use her vocals and I'm pretty sure she's bragging lol I love it tho. :redrose:

Higher- I know some people wouldn't but I LOVE the vocal strain! Waaaaay too short but it's still fabulous tho. :redrose:

Close to you- Her lower register reminds me of Miley Cyrus (amazing lower register btw). The song sounds a little more Taylor Swift which is great! I think Rihanna really does well at showing her more vunerable and personal side in this song. The very romantic piano is just the cherry on the cake! :redrose:

10/10- Rihanna, once again, shows that she's a versatile Queen. Playing around with different sounds and making amazing songs outta them.

Post suggestions here, and I'll add them to the list. :yep:
Rihanna - ANTI

Consideration - Absolutely not my usual music genre, but this opening track wasn't bad! :yy:

James Joint - Short, kinda sweet in a weird way.

Kiss It Better - :yy:

Work - The Jamaican Patois was interesting. Good song. :yy:

Desperado - Surprised by how much I'm liking this so far, TBH. :yy:

Woo - Bit repetitive.

Needed Me - Never liked songs were every 3rd word is an expletive.

Yeah, I Said It - Nope.

Same Ol’ Mistakes - Now THAT is more my cup of tea! :yy:

Never Ending - Different, but didn't quite do it for me.

Love on the Brain - Even more different, but this was awesome. :yy:

Higher - Nice, wish it was longer.

Close to You - And a beautiful ballad to finish. :yy:

7/10. Lost me a bit in the middle, unfortunately. :colondollar:
Going to listen to the Vulfpeck album. Thread's been going quite quickly
The Joy of Music, The Job of Real Estate
One of my friends has been raving about this band for a while, I'm way overdue listening to them but I decided to save it for this thread.

Bach Vision Test - I love Bach.

3 on E - that tickled my brain at times. Very good.

Test Drive - fun.

Radio Shack - also excellent

LAX - kind of retro. Still good song.

Poinciana - short, sweet

Eddie Buzzsaw - Compared with Green Onions I think the instrumentals are more interesting

Something - they switched things up, but not too much. Very good

Santa Baby - very chill

Off and Away - if Pyramid Song were converted into a Bond theme. I love it!

I wish I had listened to this sooner, and I wish it were longer. 10/10

I never knew there could be a lower-budget music video than Ram Jam's version of Black Betty
