Fugees - The Score

Red Intro - 2 minutes of swearing.

How Many Mics - MUCH better. :yy: Wasn't expecting a ColecoVision reference!

Ready or Not - I've definitely heard at least the chorus before. :yy:

Zealots - Nah.

The Beast - Odd skit at the end. :lolwut:

Fu-Gee-La - Not bad. :yy:

Family Business - Liked the chorus, but not much else.

Killing Me Softly With His Song - Not the version of the song I know. Great vocals, but all the extra ad-libs and sounds took away from it IMO.

The Score - Nope.

The Mask -

Cowboys - Worst so far.

No Woman, No Cry - This cover was fine. :yy:

Manifest/Outro - :nn:

4/10, barely.

Not going to be able to take part until Wednesday evening so feel free to put a new one on
Bryter Layter

Introduction - Pleasant opening instrumental. :yy:

Hazey Jane II - Those vocals, though. :yy:

At the Chime of a City Clock - Good! :yy:

One of These Things First - Love the chorus. :yy:

Hazey Jane I - The prequel was better still. :yy:

Bryter Layter - Kinda reminded me of elevator music for some reason!

Fly - Brilliant. :yy:

Poor Boy - Alright.

Northern Sky - By far the best so far. :yy:

Sunday - And ending on another nice instrumental. :yy:

8/10 again for Nick Drake.
Déjà Vu

Carry On - Catchy first half; very different second half, but not bad. :yy:

Teach Your Children - Lovely. :yy:

Almost Cut My Hair - I almost did that once. :afraid: Good song. :yy:

Helpless - Beautiful. :yy:

Woodstock - Very hippie. :yy:

Déjà Vu - Energetic intro, very relaxing second half. :yy:

Our House - I know this one! It's cute. :yy:

4 + 20 = 10/10 :yy: (don't @ me, I'm not a mathematician)

Country Girl - Solid. :yy:

Everybody I Love You - Fine ending. :yy:

10 :congrats:

At The Chime Of A City Clock - beautiful.

One Of These Things First - good

Hazey Jane I - yep.

Bryter Later - instrumental, I like.

Fly - good

Poor Boy - more jazzy, excellent. Best so far maybe?

Northern Sky - good but doesn't stand out from the rest.

Sunday - ...that does.

8.5/10, makes me want to revisit Pink Moon.

Parsley, Sage, Rosemary and Thyme

Scarborough Fair/Canticle - Fantastic version, amazed I've not heard it before TBH. :yy:

Patterns - Interesting. :yy:

Cloudy - Cute. :yy:

Homeward Bound - This one, I've heard many times before, very nostalgic. :yy:

The Big Bright Green Pleasure Machine - Wonder how much those go for on ebay? :giggle:

The 59th Street Bridge Song (Feelin' Groovy) - Always loved this, too. :yy:

The Dangling Conversation - Good. :yy:

Flowers Never Bend with The Rainfall - :yy:

A Simple Desultory Philippic (Or How I Was Robert McNamara'd into Submission) - Not bad, though some references were lost on me. :colondollar:

For Emily, Whenever I May Find Her - Sweet. :yy:

A Poem on the Underground Wall - I like. :yy:

7 O'Clock News/Silent Night - A bit unseasonal! Clever, with the depressing news getting louder as it goes along, but not to my tastes.

9/10

Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young - Deja vu

Very much liked this one, and recognised more songs than I was expecting to. Will definitely be relistening to this one. 9.5/10
Going to suggest I Robot by The Alan Parsons Project.
Very surprised to see I was the first to vote for Fairport Convention. One of the only two nominees to still be performing.
Liege & Lief

Come All Ye - Off to a very good start! :yy:

Reynardine - Great vocals. :yy:

Matty Groves - Absolutely superb. :yy::yy:

Farewell Farewell - Lovely. :yy:

The Deserter - Good. :yy:

Medley - Four instrumentals, each ~1 minute long, all solid. :yy:

Tam Lin - Brilliant. :yy:

Crazy Man Michael - And a perfect ending. :yy::yy:

10/10 from me. Of the four we've had from this poll, this sounded the most like the folk music my father sings - though apparently it's still a bit too 'rock' for his tastes.

Added to the backlog list.
Liege & Lief
Yeah definitely the most folk-ey sounding one. I thought it was quite good and worth a second listen, but nothing spectacular. Just nice. Certainly wouldn't have supposed that they had the influence they had. So 8/10
yay new poll! :woohoo:
