We Out Here
It's been quite a long time since I listened to any of these except for Abusey Junction.

Inside the Acorn - pleasant but a bit forgettable

Pure Shade - better

The Balance - not my kind of jazz

Brockley - also a bit jarring but more interesting

Once - a bit nicer but not the nicest so far

Black Skin, Black Masks - alright, bit long

Walls - very nice

Go See - ok

Abusey Junction - love it. One of my favourite instrumental tracks ever.

6/10, a bit inconsistent but there's some good stuff there. I listen to it through on occasion.
We Out Here

Inside the Acorn - Really nice, and really different to anything else we've had (in a good while, at least!) :yy:

Pure Shade - Brilliant. :yy:

The Balance - More of an electronic sound; not sure I'd have recognized it as jazz if asked to define it, but I liked it. :yy:

Brockley - Very fun. :yy:

Once - Not bad.

Black Skin, Black Masks - Long, but held my interest. :yy:

Walls - Relaxing. :yy:

Go See - Not for me.

Abusey Junction - Definitely saved the best until last! :yy:

7/10, very easy listening.
It's only another funky fresh new poll ! :awesome:
Chromatics - Kill for Love

Into the Black - Great start. :yy: Seems covers of Neil Young songs are still on Spotify. :p:

Kill for Love - Decent. :yy:

Back from the Grave - Nothing special.

The Page - Better. :yy:

Lady - Best so far. :yy:

These Streets Will Never Look the Same - Didn't like the vocal effects at first, then I found it a bit repetitive, and noticed it was really long... but somehow, it grew on me, and I was enjoying it by the end! :p:

Broken Mirrors - Pleasant instrumental.

Candy - Short but sweet! :yy:

The Eleventh Hour - Another solid instrumental; the beeps at the end startled me though!

Running from the Sun - Bit similar to These Streets, but it didn't grow on me as much.

Dust to Dust - Least interesting instrumental so far.

Birds of Paradise - Okay.

A Matter Of Time - Meh.

At Your Door - Alright.

There's a Light Out on the Horizon - Mostly underwhelming instrumental; the answerphone message part was interesting, at least.

The River - Well, at least the second half wasn't all dull! :yy:

6/10; don't know what went wrong after that strong start!
Best move this one on, I won't be able to finish it for a couple days
The Chats - High Risk Behaviour

Stinker - Good. :yy:

Drunk n Disorderly -

The Clap - He's got the clap.

Identity Theft - Love it. :yy:

The Kids Need Guns - Dark!

Dine N Dash - Short, simple, sublime. :yy:

Keep The Grubs Out - Can't believe this actually happened to the singer! #justiceforthemullet

Pub Feed - Catchy. :yy:

Ross River - Fine.

Heatstroke - :headfire: :yy:

Billy Backwash's Day - Okay.

4573 - Decent.

Do What I Want - Nice instrumentals. :yy:

Better Than You - Solid ending. :yy:

7/10, didn't understand half the slang, but that's somehow part of the appeal. :p:
Chromatics - Kill For Love
Yeah unfortunately this one was a bit of a drag. Could've split this into two albums. But still a nice sound. 5/10
On Saturday I was doing a quiz competition at uni and thanks to this thread I managed to get a starter from the first line - it was asking for the adjective that appears in the album that follows Five Leaves Left and Bryter Later - so, pink

Nice!
High Risk Behaviour
I'd give this one a 6, nice songs but wouldn't care to listen to it again. Though I'm amazed it's so recent!
Album #289

Björk - Vespertine

Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/album/5vBpIxm8ws6pWyVmTWiGE1

I'm away from tomorrow until Tuesday 15th, so unless anyone wants to take over in the meantime, album #290 (the winner of the current poll) will be up then.
Björk - Vespertine

Hidden Place - Off to a great start! :yy:

Cocoon - Very nice. :yy:

It's Not Up to You - Loving this. :yy:

Undo - Fine.

Pagan Poetry - Powerful! :yy:

Frosti - Short, music-box sounding instrumental.

Aurora - Starting to sound a bit samey.

An Echo, a Stain - Slower, quieter, a bit different. :yy:

Sun in My Mouth - Okay.

Heirloom - Dreamlike. :yy:

Harm of Will - Brilliant instrumentals. :yy:

Unison - And a fine ending. :yy:

8/10, preferred this to Debut.
Adding 'Chuck Berry Is on Top' to the (now empty) backlog, as I believe he's the only artist from the top 10 of Rolling Stone's Top 100 that we haven't had yet.

Other album suggestions greatly appreciated!

Going to try to get to 300 as quickly as possible because Muse is teasing a new album
Listening to Vespertine now. Nominating a few I haven't listened to but want to:
Harry Nilsson - Nilsson Schmilsson
Roger Waters - The Pros and Cons of Hitchhiking
Rolling Stones - Let It Bleed
David Bowie - Blackstar (have listened to this one)
Nirvana - In Utero
Vespertine
Found it alright, on the whole maybe more pleasant to listen to than Debut but not as interesting. Don't remember what I gave Debut but this is a safe 7/10
*filler post so that next album is at the top of the page*
