Well last year when I was doing gcse's, am in sixth form now year 13 practically :O OMG, majority of people had around 1-2 A* followed a by a couple of A's and B's both evenly spread. Of my year I am most possibly the dumbest of the smartest group of all students. Like of the top 30 out of 140 or so I am practically 30th and I got 5 A* 4 A 1B 1E 1U, so yeh feel free to use me as the bare minimum to be considered one of 'the top'. :biggrin:

I love ICHS I'm definitely applying there for sixth form, hope I can get in with 5A* and 3A's prediction though :smile:

I go to ICHS and quite a few people got nearly all A*'s at GCSE.

You need something like at least 6 B's to get in and I think they interview you (according to the externals)..but be prepared to work very hard, especially from day one in Year 13...

There's a good atmosphere, the teachers are very good, helpful and friendly. :smile:

I'd recommend this school to anyone.

Seeing as no-one has answered you, in case you haven't already found out:

The very top students in each year end up with 10-12 A* grades. The majority of students seem to hit somewhere between 1A* and 7/8 A* grades

It depends on what subject you are applying for, since some subjects are extremely competitive and you would need quite a bit of A*'s to get offers. But 3/4A*'should be enough for most courses.
