How about looking further back in the family tree, you could think about your grandmothers' maiden names maybe?

My parents are getting divorced and I don't want my father's name any longer. I don't like my mother's maiden name so my mum and I are thinking of a new surname for me.

Any suggestions? It ends in 'a' by the way so I don't want one which begins with a vowel.
Have you tried looking at your mother's mother's maiden name? Family trees are easy.

However, I'll throw a crazy suggestion into the pot: Bubala. It's a Yiddish word for 'sweetheart' or 'darling.' No, I don't really expect you to use it, but I did suggest something.
