Does anyone else look OBESE in photos???

Hiya all~

I'm just getting paranoid and pissed off. I try to put effort into looking good when I go out to socialise and it seems that the general public (basically strangers who smile at you on the street & PERVS that leer at you on the street lol) appreciate my style, face, body, whatever. I get enough compliments from guys I know, and my boyfriend, to make me think I'm at least not HIDEOUS. I have also been doing some extreme dieting and have proudly lost enough weight to not make me a heifer mongrel.

And yet, most of the time, in photos, I look so friggin obese and hideous I wonder how anybody could possibly be friends with / be attracted to someone who looks like "that".

It ain't nice. I've resorted to making sure that I am always partially hidden by someone else in photos, to minimise the area of fail lol. Perhaps soon I'll even develop a complex wherein I will actively prevent others from capturing me in a photo. I wonder if I have perception issues.

Does anyone else look at photos of themselves and sometimes think, "Is that what I REALLY look like " ?

==EDIT==

Okay so using the word "obese", particularly in all caps, was a bit of an exaggeration  so sorry if I have offended anyone so far

Rather, looking different than what you thought, or just looking generally fuggo (there I go with the 'extreme' language again!) is what I am on about :colondollar:

A photograph is an accurate depiction of how you look in real life.

If you look obese in photos, then you are obese.

WHY THE NEG REP?

If you always look obese in photos then maybe you are obese?

lol obese is worst than fat.

Don't throw words around like that without knowing the meaning of them.

However, if you are really obese....pissed.(unless you have an serious illness which I am truly, sorry for you)

Some people are not photogenic (myself included), and you may look slightly different. But you rarely go from thin to obese. Chubby maybe? Ask someone you know are honest to compare.

I hate to be the one to tell you this, but your obesity may not just be limited to photographs.
I often look big in photos where I'm standing with friends, but that's mainly because I'm a size 10/12 compared to their size 6/8...

Maybe because you are a tiny bit fat/ if not obese?
Maybe smiles in the street are suppressed laughs?

This thread needs pictures of OP.

Otherwise a response cannot be given really. It's all ifs and buts then.

Are you one of those girls who when everyone is looking at photos of awesome times and having a good laugh and feeling in a great mood, you but in with "Oh my God I look so fat in that picture! Look at my chins!" thus completely ruining the mood and making things awkward for everyone else?
Because if you are, you need a good slap in the face. I'm just sayin'.

Actually they're not, in fact in most cases they are very inaccurate.

WOMAN, that ain't me!!! But I have a friend who will write on all Facebook pics she is tagged in that she looks obese (her words, not mine) or ugly and demand (with many exclamation marks) that the picture be deleted.

Perhaps I have an 'ideal' of what I aught to look like so I am disappointed when a shabby picture appears as it seems to 'represent' me. False representation, I might add...........

Which gets me onto the thought that this 'issue' is a Facebook-induced one. Which probably means it has not much weight at all
