Obama's a celebrity, not a President

interview with Cowen shows how Obama is wasting his very precious and important time :

American politics has a lot of hollywood celebrity culture in it.

Obama has his face printed on just about every t-shirt, mug, plate, badge, sticker etc. I don't get why anybody would want a president's merchandise :s-smilie:

They have an austrian bodybuilder who did a bit of acting as the governor of california, they think that deer-hunting, retired pornstar looking, trailer-trash 'milf' Sarah Palin is actually a viable candidate to lead the largest economy in the world. They had the 74 year old grandad McCain running for president aswell.

I mean how silly is it for the Republicans to put forward the guy who lost to BUSH of all people to run for president, again!

Isn't it ironic though how america says it's the 'greatest' democracy in the world, and yet it seems as if recent presidents or presidential nominees have all been relatives of previous ones.
George Bush was president, his son the jackass became president. Bill Clinton was president, his wife campaigns to be president.

Every now and again you get all sorts of hollywood actors, Will Smith, Tom Cruise, seriously thinking about the idea of running for president :sigh: Imagine that in the UK, if Hugh Grant seriously suggested he wanted to be prime minister. Complete joke.

Anyway, this is all just the superficial face american politics, as somebody has already said they're puppets to powerful people behind the scenes.

Imagine that, dismissing someone as a politician purely because of their former job. Reagan was president of the SAG, and didn't do a bad job when he entered politics.

I don't see why a lawyer or a career-politician should be considered as the only avenues for leading a country, nor do I see why there should be prejudice against them. Judge them by their own merits and ideals.

The Illuminati. Just look at the dollar bill ffs they've even marked the money with their logo.

From what i read on Wiki the Illuminati is Hocus Pocus nonsense.

You're not serious are you?

He swept to the Presidency with dogmatic and foolish optimism rather than realism and substance. His poor performance on the economy is a case in point to his incompetence.

Discuss.

tbh u sound like a racist bastard. just my:angry::mad::angry: opinion

This was a hilarious post, expecially the Sarah Palin remarks haha!

You've made the republicans seem like jackassess quite convincingly, but what was really so bad about Bush? The stuff about him being an idiot is hard to believe as he went to Yale.

Unfair predjudist against celebrities i think, they dont necessarily have to be poor world leaders. Im saying Obama is the kind of celebrity you'd rightly put that kind of disdain on (Grant as well)

WTF is this Illuminati stuff it must be a joke? :s-smilie:

fair enough. we shouldbn't expect somethin spectacular when we r talking about the american economy.

btw how do u predict the success of new Quantitive Easing in the US?

No clue tbh. I don't really know enough about economics to comment on it. You?

Yes, he's a celebrity. Pretty hard to dispute that he's the President of the United States, so I'm going to stick with my view that he is both a president and a celebrity.

Fair enough interp from the definitions

However we all know of a kind of celebrity that knows little or has llittle talent yet is popuar because of charisma or something else like looks.

That is definiton of celebrity i am talking about and eveyone here tacitly accepts it.

I'm not racist but this shows hor far politcal correctnss has come. You can't even criticise a Jew, Black or someone of any other race which ahs been subject to racism in history w/out being labelled a racist.

These previously disadvantaged groups desrve no shield o criticism im sure Obama himself would aree w/ me.

They are probably worse but most of them didnt win seats and they certainly aren't presidents.

For a president, Obama was worse in this respect then others before I think.
