Why isn't 11 pronounced "onety-one"? other numbers such as twenty-one and thirty-one and forty-one etc... are normal why does the number 11 have to different?
Same way we don't have twoty-two or threety-three, but I know what you mean re. it being one world. That's just the way our language rolls - it's a nonsensical mix and that makes it interesting.

it only sounds weird, because we aren't used to it, but if we grew up with it it would sound normal not retarded. It would be pretty cool tbh if they changed the numbers.
