Domestic animals get a pretty sweet deal at home. I don't see why they would ever leave.

Anyone could feed them, it doesn't have to be the house they're at. The same with shelter, they could house-hop, find places in bushes etc. It's perfectly possible.

Why would any animal leave security for the uncertainty of outside? How is a cat born and raised at home to know that it is possible for them to house-hop?

None of the alternatives you mentioned sound as comfortable as simply staying at home.

BS.

Sick to lie about stuff like this. You should get a grip.

Also, you should try to understand obvious sarcasm.

I'm not. Do you want me to f*cking prove it? I think you're the sick one.

Because it's freer, they'd be in their natural habitat, eating their natural food if they so wished etc. Think about it, it'd be very difficult to make a wild animal stay at home...
The music was a bit cheesy.

Don't be silly. Cats haven't been wild animals for quite some time now. There is no mystical "call of the wild" that tells a completely domesticated animal who has never lived outside of the home to go off and roam around on their own.

If I get hit by a car, I hope someone massages me with their feet too <3

If by 'massage me with their feet' you mean piss on your corpse, then sure, many people would line up for that job

OP, thank you for posting that video on here. It was emotional and made me think about some of the aspects of existence.

So are some dog breeds.

How about "dogs are pathetic"?

I'm probably going to get so much neg rep but I really don't care.
A friend of mine has a dog that's so devoted to her that when she goes out without her it whines so much and works itself up into such a state, if someone else takes it for a walk it isn't as obedient and if it catches sight of my friend it will bomb off to greet her.
If my friend is on the other side of the room the dog will do whatever it takes to go sit at her feet, if the kitchen door is left open (where the dogs are kept) it will roam around until it finds my friend again....
This dog actually disgusts me, it's like it can't be on it's own.

Cats on the other hand - they'll do their own thing when they feel like it and come socialise with you when they feel like it. They seem more like actual people. Dogs just seem like slaves to me. :dontknow:

Your friend's dog is just really poorly trained tbf....

No. If I'd have meant that, then I probably would have said that.

I actually couldn't watch it all because I was getting emotional.

Certainly. I like Welsh corgis, for example. I was just pointing out some of the positives of cats and making a humorous reference to a television show named The Big Bang Theory. I have no problem with the fact that you prefer dogs.

Oh go away.

Cats are not selfish, just because you dislike cats doesn't make it void that they have emotions.

Not just cats, I don't think any animals have emotions
