Urgh, basically I'd have the iLoveYou directly underneath in the middle; the same goes for the 'x'

Still VERY much too soppy!

I would get creeped out if my bf gave my an iPod which had anything such as the date we started dating, or i love you on it

(Or I would get creeped out if I had a bf to do that to me :getmecoat:)
I'd just have
"With Love, x"
or some kind of joke that's just between the two of you

No, just don't do it.
As others have said, she'd just end up trashing the ipod if/when you two break up as she wouldn't be able to look at it fondly if it had sickly engravings all over the back.

Hmm, I see where you're coming from but if I'm honest, I think she'd really like it. Everybody's different?
Where the fudge are you gonna get it engraved? I thought only Apple did it?

Erm something along the lines of.. "Your mum is hot, I would tap that. ;D"

You like?

Don't engrave it with something that means she can't continue using it when you break up.

I thought the same.

By all means put her name on it or something that's about her.

"You are the music in me."
"tits pix or GTFO"

 Thats so 'ghey'
You could always just put the date.
Then it isn't too soppy because it just looks like a date but the two of you know the meaning of it.
Sorry for shagging your sister.

Love,

I'd go for something to like:

"If music be the food of love, play on"

Not too soppy, still shows love, but if break up she can just see it as nice quote

This woman speaks sense.
"Hello.. is it me your looking for?"

Personalise so its about her, not the two of you. You know her better then us, so try to think of something and maybe post on here if you're not too sure it sounds good.

"I am the music in you."
Can I just confirm that you know the date you started going out, 'cause June 07 2010 =/= 04/07/10...?

I like this idea, I would go for this if I were you OP. Or some other music-related quote that the two of you can relate to.

None of this "X & Y 2gether 4eva" or " xx and xx I love you" rubbish. If I got an ipod engraved with that, I would not be best pleased. It's far too soppy and corny.

Loading favourite songs of yours and hers onto the ipod is also a good idea.

Wahay, at least if I can't persuade the OP, you two know I'm right =D

Yes everybody is different, but the majority would still think it was creepy.

I will stand by my suggestion of
"if music be the food of love, play on"

Hows about "I love you" ?

That way, when you break up she can give it to her new boyfriend as a gift
