Urgh, basically I'd have the iLoveYou directly underneath in the middle; the same goes for the 'x'

Still VERY much too soppy!

I would get creeped out if my bf gave my an iPod which had anything such as the date we started dating, or i love you on it

(Or I would get creeped out if I had a bf to do that to me :getmecoat:

No, just don't do it.
As others have said, she'd just end up trashing the ipod if/when you two break up as she wouldn't be able to look at it fondly if it had sickly engravings all over the back.

You could always just put the date.
Then it isn't too soppy because it just looks like a date but the two of you know the meaning of it.

None of this "X & Y 2gether 4eva" or " xx and xx I love you" rubbish. If I got an ipod engraved with that, I would not be best pleased. It's far too soppy and corny.

Loading favourite songs of yours and hers onto the ipod is also a good idea.
