C2 General trigonometry help please...

How do you know when you are given a triangle of an ambiguous case?
I know the sin ambiguous case only applies if you are given 2 sides and a non included angle right?
But was does non included angle actually mean? (does it mean that there is no angle joining the 2 sides together :/)
do you mean sine rule and cosine rule?

If you have a triangle with two given sides, then those two sides will be joined together at a vertex. The angle at the vertex is the included angle. (It's included between the two sides).
Either/both of the other two angles are non-included.
