You're officially talking out of your backside.
You ask for sources yet give none. I also have a feeling that you believe "hacking" to be taking control of the device externally, whereas the only "hacks" for the iPhone mean you actually have to have access to the device, and even then all it did was allow you to bypass the pin code, which most people don't even set.
And again, as already mentioned, it's been fixed!

No phone is secure blueray. There was stuff published a few months ago saying that android is a lot more prone to spyware, and a lot of Android apps pass back personal data to the developer without tell you so. Not saying the iPhone is any better, but android isn't perfect either.
I'd argue that Apples multitasking is better.
Means that the battery isn't drained as quickly.
The only problem I have atm is the lack of multitasking support for IM apps and for video apps. Everything else you could ever want to do with multitasking, you can do with iOS.
On the other hand, I don't know any other shop / manufacturer that will replace a damaged phone for £150. Other places will generally charge you a lot more if the damage is your own fault or refuse to touch the phone.

As far as I'm aware the apple guys only replace your phone if it's not your fault. Correct me if I'm wrong though. This seems a lot like a warranty to me. Whilst it would be nice to have HTC genius guys, I wouldn't say this service would sway me into getting a phone.

You are wrong.
Apple has even replaced cracked phones for free in the first few weeks of the iPhone 4 launch. Most of the time they charge £150 though.

Thats the beauty of the genius bar. Sometimes they will do things they technically shouldn't (like giving you free repairs / replacements).
Most of the time they charge the out of warranty service fee though (£150).

Having had both the iphone 3GS, the iphone 4, and now the Galaxy S, I would say the Galaxy S is much much better in terms of both hardware and operating system. Both have a very similar one touch interface, and the iphone4 is basically just the app-drawer on the galaxy s.
I dont think I could ever go back to iphone. With android my user experience is so much better.. I manage to acheive the things I want much quicker and easier, with access to all the things I use my phone most commonly for, all available quicker, through the use of multiple home screens and widgets.
Other than texting and browsing (two things android does better and faster than my iphone4) I also use my phone most commonly to check the latest news, to check the latest football scores, to check the current most popular youtube clips, to check my friends latest status updates, to check my friends latest twitter updates, to check the latest weather, to check the latest technology news. On my Samsung Galaxy S, I am able to check all those things instantly within 10 seconds, as all that information is available live and most up tp date on my home screens as widgets. To do the same thing on my iphone I would have to launch and close 10 apps or so, and wait for each of those apps to fetch the required data over wifi. The same expereince took around 8 minutes or so. Due to there being such a barrier to doing such tasks I found that I did it less often, using my phone less.
On top of this, I use my phone quite a lot for social networking, such as facebook, myspace, twitter, flickr etc. All these accounts are deeply integrated natively into android making things so much easier and much more intuitive and easier to acces and do the things I want. The iphone way seems so cumbersome, slow, and old fashioned.
On top of this.. because things are just easier on my android, with less barriers to the things I want to do, i find myself doing multiple things all the time, similar to a pc. This is made such a breeze with the far superior notification system within android. On my iphone a message pops up forcing you to stop what you are doing and deal with that message, or dismiss it only for the notification to be forgotten, where u are never prompted again.
On top of this.. having a phone that is natively integrated with google, allowing my contacts, calendars, emails, livedocs, contact photos, etc to be seamlessly integrated and push-synced constantly is great. I had to be pay the annual fee for MobileMe for similar functionality on my iphone.
I find android just more feature rich, like being able to pick my phone up and speak "navigate to KFC". my phone will decipher what I said, load up the free google sat nav, and start directing me to my nerest KFC from my current location. All within a few seconds. Its being able to sync my music, playlists, and podcasts with iTunes wirelessly without having to plug my phone into the itunes software just to do anything.
the iphone4 doesnt have removable flashdisk cards or a micro USB port
the iphone4 has a significantly smaller screen, despite the phone being a similar size
the iphone4 lacks the more visually wonderful super-amoled screen for the wow factor
the iphone4 has a poorer viewing angle
the iphone4 has a slower browser, and is slower at loading pages
the iphone4 is slower at loading apps, with a fractionally slower interface
the iphone4 lacks the more sophisticated multitasking of the Galaxy S
the iphone4 has a slower processor, and a slowr graphics core (GPU) (the Galaxy S has the fastest of any phone in the world currently)
the iphone4 lacks flash when browsing websites
the iphone4 has a lower quality front facing camera,

Whenever I go onto XDA dev forum into the galaxy S section there is an fair amount of GS owners who just think Samsung suck in the software department, with the way they've handled the GS and generally that the drawbacks just isn't worth the hassle. I think this is the reason why I'm haven't gotten a GS.
you just plug ya phone into your laptop and load up samsung kies and let it update your phone to the official Froyo 2.2. Then, you just apply the one click root and lag fix.
that said, the Nexus S will be out in the UK from Dec 18th, which is essentially an optimised galaxy s, and will be the fastest android phone out, given that it will be stock Gingerbread 2.3 with a JIT kernal optimised specifically for the hummingbird processor, and none of the lag issues associated with using samsungs own file system.
and really, nearly all of what i mentioned above regarding the benefits of the galaxy s compared to the iphone4 also apply to flagship android phones in general, such as the htc desire hd too.

This is something which i wonder with xda, because my GS never suffered from these issues, perhaps the odd time a bit of a delay getting a lock but nothing Horrific.
Rather if you spend any time on xda you find everyone bitches about the phones!
As for lag I never really notice much but then i dont use touchwiz so cant really comment
