Can anyone post up a list of some common veg/fruit item codes? Sick of going through the plu menu system
Oh and does using quantity function only count as one item in terms of IPM?

The ones I can remember (most of these actually have the codes on, but just in case they don't)

1601-Red Pepper
1908-Green Pepper
1816-Orange Pepper
7092-White Cabbage
7306-Closed Cup Mushrooms (I think)
3017-Conference Pears
3024-Rocha Pears
4101-Braeburn Apples
4450-Clementines?(or Satsumas, not sure, it's something orange anyway )
2370-White seedless grapes
2424-Red seedless grapes
6156-Butternut squash
4011-Fairtrade Bananas
4021-Golden Delicious apples?

They are the ones that I can remember off the top of my head, a few there I'm not sure of. I'm still quite impressed considering I've only been there 6 weeks

If you took any holiday, or if you clocked in 5 minutes late or out 5 minutes early.

I've been short time 12 hours! Not impressed. Especially as I always end up on the shop floor 10-15 minutes earlier than my shift start [because of the buses and time passes quicker working than hanging around] and often don't get to clock out until 5 minutes later than my shift finishes as I have to wait for people to take me off the till etc.

They said they should be able to sort it out. Not happy to have lost out on so much money though... and right before Christmas. :frown:

Not Christmas Day. If you want to get paid for Xmas you'll need to take it as holiday.

Are you on a temp Christmas contract? If so check it doesn't run out on the 24th.

4128 - pink lady apples :')
Whenever I see my friends with Sainsbury's fruit I tell them the number, haha.
Does anyone know what carrots and brocolli are? They're the two most common ones that I don't know

I thought 2332 was Fairtrade Bananas?

4113 is Bakery Reduced Stuff (This number is no longer useable because they set it to "recalled").
411301 is Grocery Misc (Useful on Self Scan)

Are you allowed to wear watches while on the shop floor?

I remember them saying 'no' during my induction but I wear one all the time and have never been told to take it off...

If you are on counters/bakery, then it is a definite no though due to health and safety/hygiene etc.
My contract runs out on the 1st of Jan but my manager phoned me last night to see if I would to nightshift on the 1st to 2nd of Jan. Do you think I might be getting a permanent place?
