How is it a fact that people who don't have social networking are losers with no friends? I don't have Facebook, not because i'm trying to be "alternative" or because i have no friends, but because it's not something that has particularly interested me in the past. My friends tell me to join, and i daresay that i will at some point (because it does seem like a good way to keep in touch with people who i don't see on a day to day basis anymore) but i think people are putting a bit too much emphasis on it if Facebook is the indicator of someone's social status/popularity.

Are you deliberately trying to piss me off? I thought I would be able to cover myself from posts like this by wording my post the way I did. Don't shoot the messenger, yo. I don't make the rules of socialism.

Are you one of those people who will neg me if I say only losers don't have facebook, because you yourself are a loser and don't wish to accept this fact as being true, so instead of accepting it lash out in an animalistic way, stating some half arsed comment which attempts to portray you as being some sort of popular alternative rebel (you know the things I'm talking about; "omg how sad are you thinking its cool to have facebook, you can not have facebook and still be cool")? Because let's face it, objectionably, if you are at university (hence normal uni age), and you don't have facebook, you are hardly going to be mr. popular are you? It's like not having a mobile phone. I'm just stating facts here, not opinions, so please GTFO before you start raping me, as I agree that this social norm is silly, but its one of those if you cant beat em join em things. kthnxbai

I have nothing against facebook myself, but to say 'if you are at university and you don't have facebook, you are hardly going to be mr. popular are you?' just makes you seem like one of those people whose lifelong dream is to be in with the popular kids. Actually, scrap that. I do have something against facebook. It is completely unnecessary, people who always bang on about their status and say 'let's take pictures for facebook tonight!' just make me wish it was never created. I miss the mystery of life. I don't want to know what everyone is doing right now, to be honest.

No, no... Don't piss me off.

Socialism is a socio-political econmomic system whereby the State has a duty to pay for or subsidise core public services, made possible by means of high tax and civil responsibility.

I used to use FB, but I closed my account a few days ago, mainly due to privacy concerns, that and now nearly every member of my family uses it.

I don't feel safe with a company (especially an American one) having access to all my data, photos etc etc.

Ok well you can have that one then since you seem so eager to take something away from this discussion. But way to avoid providing a counter argument

Inexperienced?
I will have worked part time for 6 years.
I would have volunteer'd throughout those 6 years, very regularly.
I would have had a year work placement, paid of around 16-25k in a very relevant job.

Sorry, oh master of English grammar and spelling. I do appreciate that it is silly of me to type so fast and thus not be bothered to go back and check to make sure everything is of such a perfect nature that you may find it acceptable (:

Yes what you are saying is correct, and I agree. I still have to say though I think you either didn't read my post properly or just mis understood it. I anticipated responses like yours and did the best I could to avoid them, but still I will try again to explain. I was merely just stating facts - or what we consider facts. The mind set of many people is that which you have described, which is what makes what I said true. As I said earlier, don't shoot the messenger, I'm just telling it as it is.

He totes probably listens to The beatles 2.0 (regenerated) but like most people don't even know what they are. They're clones of the beatles but improved, they turn mainstream and sell out in 2018 though : /
