Good, it is not too quite, but I still get sleep.

Have you actually seen many people in kilts? Not including the buskers that play bagpipes/drums...

I've seen a lot recently, must be mandatory at xmas dinners or something.

Awesome, great mix between parties and just chilling, plus perfect positioning for nights out!

That might be it.
Cardiff. Pretty buildings, funny accents.
London Met.

It's, um... There's...

I got nothing.

Lol. I love how people are 'bigging up' their universities by saying "Come to ___. It's okay.

Anyway, UCL -prestige, social life, great teaching!

UCL's alright. Can't be beat for location (everywhere that's worth going to in London is within walking distance) and the main Quad is a pretty nice looking building (just a shame Tottenham Court Road across the road is such a dump).

Tottenham Court Road is nice! All the instrument shops are there. I sort of know what you mean, though. UCL looks so regal, but is surrounded by grey, drab buildings. At least Bloomsbury is a good area. (posh - so you won't get knifed for looking at someone the 'wrong way')

Glasgow - Fantastic uni, great people, 2 unions (meaning awesome freshers week), beautiful building (looks like hogwarts), subway IN one of the unions , amazing shops (SO MANY!!!), nightlife is awesome beyond all belief, cheap drinks (85p for vodka mix in some places!), men in kilts :sogood:, plus just a really happy amazingly wonderful place!

can you tell i love it?!

Glasgow is awesome.

My course is brilliant (History, Politics, Philosophy), the people are awesome, the nightlife is INSANE.

I go out 3 times a week and every time is absolutely insane!

Loving it here!

Aren't Cambridge's colleges bound to have just as good a community spirit?
And the way you say it seems to imply that a college system is necessary for a good community spirit. Yet rarely does anyone ever have a bad word to say about Glasgow, for one, which doesn't have a college system. And there are some less ancient universities that have 'college' systems that are just halls of residences with unrelated teaching rooms in them - their sense of 'community' is less meaningful than elsewhere.

Look out for the seaguls mate, there's a large chip on your shoulder.
In the lovely words of my dearest brother, "The fact that even you've managed to make friends there says a lot about the social life..."

I.e., come to UEA. You'll have fun. It's a bit concrete-chic, but it's friendly and the rabbits are pretty cute.

Make that 3 times a week MINIMUM! It feels odd that I haven't been out since saturday and am not going out tonight :s-smilie:
GLASGOW!
1. It's a beautiful campus that looks especially wonderful in the snow.
2. Great courses with amazing lecturers (aka. David Newell for all those considering Lit)
3. A wonderfully friendly city with shopping and night-life to suit everyone.
4. Ceilidhs

Seriously, what are you doing applying to anywhere else?
