..what was your experience like? Can you describe it to me? I'm interested to see what people saw/felt at the time..

i was quite enjoying myself until someone asked me if i was ok and said i looked ill, then i freaked out convinced myself i was dying and cried under a table for the rest of the night.
didn't really hallucinate much tbh, just felt a bit like i was floating/sinking and everything was really slow

listen to piper at the gates of dawn by pink floyd. Then come back in an hour and ask the same question.

it was totally trip out crazee i felt like i reachedf a higher plane of existence, you see the truth, what lies beyond the material, corporeal world, you touch the face of god and feel the radiance of what the buddhists call enlightenment.

then you stop daydreaming during fear and loathing in las vegas, take some lsd you bought from an unshaven crook in the subway and you wake up in a jail cell after stabbing six people for appearing to be gorillas raping your parents.

This will give you much more in depth information than anyone replying here will. Unless someone is planning to sit and write and full trip report, which I somehow doubt.

Assuming you're going to try it given the other post you've made on this thread, do you actually have a reputable source from which to get it? And I don't want a "yeah, my mate knows someone who lives down the road" sort of response.

There are LOADS of psychedelics, all which could be sold under the guise of LSD because it's the most recognisable (synthetic) hallucinogenic.

Edit: You also don't know how strong the stuff could be...

If you're unsure about taking any drug then you shouldn't full stop. If you absolutely insist then remember that LSD is currently illegal in the UK and where as something like Salvia Divinorum (the most potent naturally occurring hallucinogen) is currently legal.

There are risks to both as there are with any drugs. I don't advocate taking any drugs at all (just not me) if you absolutely insist then you should make sure:

1) You know that the drug you're taking is relatively "pure" in the sense that it's not mixed with random **** and very dangerous drugs.

2) You have somebody who you can trust with you to oversee your trip. Obviously they shouldn't be tripping as well.

3) Your first time taking it should preferably be somewhere safe.

Alright fun police...I haven't explicitly decided to take drugs from 'someone down the road'...I just wondered about it and how it might affect me(in passing).

Give me a break, I'm a regular recreational drug user.

I'm being serious about it though. Though there are no known cases of LSD overdoses, people will often use other drugs that can be a lot more harmful and call it LSD, and people have died from their lack of research before taking drugs.
http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/lsd/lsd_media2.shtml

"Initial reports stated that a friend of Discerni, another freshman named Cameron Jester, added somewhere between 6 and 12 "drops" or "hits" of LSD to her orange juice.
Though initial reports identified the substance as "LSD", those of us familiar with the range of psychoactives quickly suspected that it was some other material, perhaps a research chemical such as 5-MeO-AMT. There are only one or two known deaths directly resulting from the LSD ingestion, and rarely, if ever, is this sort of negative physical reaction seen to a dose of 6-12 hits. Subsequent toxicology results verified that the substance was, in fact, 5-MeO-AMT, not LSD."

The actual deaths mentioned from LSD ingestion would likely have been an allergic reaction to the drug (it can happen with anything). Either that, or it wasn't very clean acid.

Salvia :suith:

OP, seriously, listen to what this dude is saying; the three points he makes are highly advisable.
Set and setting (concerning the third point) is quite important; you need to be in a good mood, and a good (safe, friendly) place for your trip, otherwise you could have a bad trip. And no-one likes a bad trip

Trust me any thoughts I had about sampling anything have been thoroughly bored/scared out.

"LSD is currently illegal"

"most potent naturally occurring hallucinogen"

Imanshahidi, Mohsen; Hosseinzadeh, Hossein (April 2006). "The Pharmacological Effects of Salvia species on the Central Nervous System". Phytotherapy Research 20 (6): 427–437. doi:10.1002/ptr.1898. PMID 16619340. http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/cgi-bin/abstract/112593742/ABSTRACT. Retrieved 2007-03-24. "However, when smoked (in a manner similar to free base cocaine), the compound is effective in doses of 200–500 ?g and produces visions that last from 30 min to an hour or two, while doses over 2 mg are effective for much longer. At doses greater than 500 ?g the subject is often no longer aware of their surroundings and may enter an uncontrollable delirium. This compound is the most potent naturally occurring hallucinogen thus far isolated.".

Or do you base your post upon the fact that I didn't say it was "one of" the most potent or because I didn't mention the term "isolated"? Feel free to tell me what you found wrong instead.

Sorry, but, DMT (dimephyltriptamine) is by far the most potent psychadelic... And it's naturally occuring. It's released in our brains when we sleep and can be found is just about every living organism. I am willing to dispute with the homeoffice becuase I've read a lot about it and have tried both LSD and DMT.

If you're interested in LSD, research DMT (http://www.erowid.org/chemicals/dmt/dmt.shtml) I can't say I've tried either, but I daresay that if the opportunity were available, I would take it.
