N = No x e^[-lambda x t] where half life = ln2 / lambda. lambda is decay const. No is initial amount and N is final amount.
Perhaps the first question, you got confused between decay const and half life. Must remember to convert 50 years into seconds. This might be where you are going wrong.
Does percentage growth refer to how much percentage remaining after time t?
[N / No] x 100 = percentage remaining.
