And that apparently it's normal, all guys do it.

I understood when he mentioned porn, etc, but irl girls, whom they both know, or just he knows (from work, etc) and speaks to regularly on facebook/text??

I don't really know is its normal or not I've never actually asked my boyfriend what he thinks of when he does and I don't really think he would tell me if it was my best friend. I don't think it would be a very nice thing to hear but unfortunately I don't think it would be as unusual as people would like to think. It would be more of an issue if it was him thinking about my best friend all the time but if it happened once or twice I wouldn't be particularly happy but I wouldn't hold it against him i think most peoples minds have wandered to people other than there partner at some time during sexual activity

Yes. I'm not a possessive and controlling person who needs to control my boyfriend's thoughts. It's impossible anyway so what's the point getting all upset about it?
