The Student Room Group

I fancy my teacher? :(

I really fancy one of my teachers, and I don't like it at all.

It's really confusing - I fancy him, but I wouldn't want to even kiss him, let alone have sex with him, which is different from people my own age. This is probably cos he's 30-40 so if it happened, that would make him a paedofile, which is incredibly offputting. And married, in case that wasn't a big enough reason \:

But it's like I'm obsessed with seeing him out of school (not as in dates; as in literally seeing him, seeing him in shops randomly, that sort of thing) and finding stuff about him. And I want him to like me; not sexually, just think I'm a nice student or something (I don't know what teachers think of pupils they like, apart from clever if they're clever, or funny if they're funny, which I'm neither) I want him to remember him after I've left this school.

I'm not asking for advice on how to get him to like me: I want advice on how to get over him. I swear I'm bright red every lesson and I don't want to be. In fact, I'm scared he'll work out I fancy him, cos then it'll be really awkward for him to teach, which I don't want. And I don't want to fancy him, it's really weird...I'm used to teachers being teachers and nothing else. This is really wrong and embarresing.
Anyone been in this situation? Also, if you did, were you like me, in not wanting a intimate relationship or whatever, just wanting to be noticed.

I'd like it if people didn't call me a stupid teenager
Thankssssss

I'm assuming you're female here: if you "fancy" him but don't seem to have any kinda sexual attraction to him, just wanting him to notice and like you... could it be more a father figure thing? :dontknow:

It could be because he presents a certain character that is impressive, much like how girl students like Gilderoy Lockhart :awesome:

You need a boyfriend. Blunt, simple, but true! You will begin to see that your attraction is just infatuation.

Damn it.

Got nothing else to say then lol.
That's called involuntary limerence.

It'll pass with time - or you'll have a psychotic episode and end up murdering everyone at your school.

Oh well - at least it'll mix things up a bit.

It's quite common for pupils to fancy their teachers, yet usually that desire is just sexual. You appear to be infatuated, which again can't be that uncommon.
Has he ever done anything you disliked? Does he have any negative aspects to his personality? Think about these and remember them. You may have something of an idealised image of him in your mind, so in doing this you should at least be able to dissolve that a little.

I don't want him to lose his job - I don't want an illegal relationship with him, I'd thought I'd made that clear.
I'm not the other girl btw, I made this thread cos I couldn't see any other one which helped me with my case.
Just wait it out until the end of school. :moon:
