North Hill Court?

Im not at North Hill Court but im at James Baillie Park which is literally 3 metres from North Hill Court. Both Accomodations are in a nice area which is a 15 min walk to uni and 10-12 to Headingly and Sainsburys. I Havnt heard much from people at North Hill Court but they share the James Baillie Park common room (pool table, piano, vending machines, freeview tv, laundry).

im a first year student and am really happy with leeds everyone ive spoken to likes the uni and their accomodations.

Devonshire is on the road to james baillie Park and North Hill Court and like 40 seconds walk away. Its meant to be very nice and they have a lot of nice stuff like pool tables but the stereotype around uni is that its full of "rahs" and my friend who is there says a lot of people are from private schools but they socialise really easily with James Baillie Park and North Hill Court.

Probably going to firm Leeds and thinking of applying to North Hill Court for one of my accommodation choices (maybe Devonshire as the other?) - can anyone tell me pros/cons/give general advice? Thanks

I live there now!

It's so cheap, and well worth it for how little your paying compared to other accomodation. Rooms are huge - especially rooms 1,2 and 3 of a flat. 4 is standard but still pretty big compared to standard rooms in other accomodation.

Theres about 80 people living there, it's brilliant cause you pretty much know everyone, as it's really tight knit and cosy

Kitchens pretty small but still, you pay so little and get big rooms! Pretty good bathrooms, little dining area - the maintenance and site office are really helpful too and if you have a problem in your flat they'll usually come straight away!

Halfway between uni and Headingley, up the road is a bus stop that can take you to uni, Headingley, town, rail station, bus station etc. Only £1 to uni as well

Lovely quiet area too and Sainsburys is only about 15 minutes away!
Definitely reccommend it

hi, i have a place confirmed at leeds and am looking at possible accomodation at the moment. north hill court looks really nice (and very cheap) but i have a few questions...

is there any sort of common room in the flat other than the kitchen? (which i read is tiny) the size of the kitchen doesnt really bother me too much, but where do people hang out when they're just sitting around eating/drinking??

also, can someone who lives there tell me truthfully how long the walk to campus is? on the site it says 15 mins but other places say more.. im guessing the accom people are exagerating the closeness to campus, would be nice to hear from someone who actually goes there. and is it possible to get the bus if im feeling lazy/late?

would be really great to get some answers from people who live there or have visited thanks

EDIT: sorry, one more question; on the website it says that the price ranges from £74-89 per week. what does this mean? are there different prices depending on whether you get the bigger or smaller rooms? or have they just not made their minds up yet? lol

if you look on the pictures, the part with the table and chairs is like the communal area it's pretty big and we've managed to fit quite a lot of people in there for pre-drinks! thats pretty much where everyone socialises and granted, it's not as posh as other accomodations living areas, but it's nice

the walk is usually about 20/25 minutes. but it depends which part of campus your going to but if i have a lecture at 10 i set off at half 9 and get there in plenty of time theres TONS of frequent buses, and it's only £1 to uni!

the prices range because of the size of the rooms - I'm currently paying the least out of my flat because my rooms 'standard' the other three rooms are huge, and room 1 even gets a balcony so they pay the most! it's not MUCH more though, just a few extra pounds a week!
