Is love worth fighting for?

I'd fight to still be with my husband no matter what, but I wouldn't fight to save our relationship if he'd done something terrible (i.e cheated on me). But I also disagree that love and relationships are hard work. Yes sure you have occasional arguments, but that's not hard work. Being in my relationship is easy as anything, unquestionable. It's like being with your best mate and I don't have to fight or put in hard work to be with my mates.

I'd agree with this on the terms of living together and being free to spend as much time together as possible but when its long distance, and then when you're both on term time holidays you both have to work a lot it becomes a lot harder. Thats when its hard work.

Not really.

A lot of people see love as something worth going for because it isn't easy. You go through all the ups and downs with that person because you live him/her. And as they say, nothing good ever came easy.

True love requires no forsaking/effort. If you're obviously having to overcome a lot of a struggles etc then it's not true love, and obviously it's not worth it.

Fighting against whatever **** gets in the way to make it work, yes. I had an argument with the boy the other day, made the effort, sorted it out and are now stronger for it. Actually harming yourself or giving up everything, hell no. If you love each other enough you shouldn't have to do that.

i disagree, how can you test the limits of love and know that it truly is love if you never have to prove it by putting the extra effort in when it's needed?

I love how you've compared an emotion such as love, with daily things like eating, walking etc.
