Britain is overcrowded... something needs to be done about immigration...

Don't make me laugh. Using overcrowding is just an excuse, the fact of the matter is White Brits are becoming increasingly fearful that they're country is getting taking over by blacks and asians. Overcrowding, my ass. It's all about keeping Britiain white with them.

That's madness and economic suicide when the country has already had an industrial revolution, and can afford to give a free education. Besides the UN calls education a right and it should be free(in a country like ours that is relatively rich) Would you rather spend thousands of pounds a year to educate yourself? Only the rich would get jobs.

I agree to an extent. If people migrate here, then they should come here on a points based system, and they should not be able to fill a job place unless no one in the country wants it. People like authors, comedians etc... rely on benefits as well as their income in order to survive. These people are below the poverty line

the world is overcrowded. people need to be responsible and have two kids max so that we don't end up destroying the earth and it's natural resources. i'm not saying we should go the whole china route with passing laws and such about 1 kid per family, but people themselves should be making their own conscious decisions to not have a ****load of kids.

and, immigration is what it is. shocking though it may seem, they're people too. they have dreams and aspirations and want to live a good life just like you. people are much more important than money. they always have been and always will be.

Yeah... something need to be done rightaway. lets kill half of the population starting with you.
Everything's fine I reckon. It's not like I have to shovel immigrants off my drive to get to school in the morning.
I live in scotland, there's only 5 million people here so personally i don't see the problem. Maybe we just need to spread out a bit :dontknow:

That's not what I'm implying, but if we were overcrowded like the others imply you would have seen a crowded countryside already. Therefore an empty countryside at present implies a not so crowded Britain.

Yes it is overcrowded, because the coutry side needs to be preserved. If everybody thought like you, we'd have no countryside in 50 years.

What you have written doesn't make sense.

Your logic is that the country is overcrowded because the countryside needs to be preserved? Please explain that to me.

This means the the available land that we have to build on is overcrowded.

Do you understand how much pressure the ecology of these islands is currently under, bird-brain? There's reams and reams of evidence on the decline of the native species of flora and fauna in the UK. Much of our countryside is as mechanised and controlled as any city centre. And you wan't to pave over the lot to cram in millions more immigrants? Get ****ed.

London has waaayyyyyy to many immigrants.Walking down the streets of london i see way to many immigrants and colored people.

Some parts are like flipping mumbai.

The word Immigration is too broad, let's specified it down a little bit.
Do you mean
Work permit holders? (They pay taxes etc.)
International Students? (£14,000 pa is a lot and other expense too)
Refugees? (Civil right)
EU citizens? (No comment)
or those from colonised countries? (Your great grand dads faults!)

My dad has given a work permit to work here and he pays a significant amount of tax to this country. Also, in his passport, it states that we cannot receive any source of public fund :biggrin:

I don't get it, I may sound selfish here, I'm gonna say it anyway. Brits are moaning about non EU immigrations but those from EU themselves.

Do YOU know that those from non-EU countries are required to pass a lot of processes before granted visas to enter the UK. And most of them are clever/specialist in their fields/etc. that contribute to the society. Also work permit holder (and their dependants) cannot get benefits/housing etc.

Best ways to reduce number of population is to:
Reduce child benefits - have you ever seen a family that have kids for a sake of benefit and council estate?
Ask those from EU countries to get visas before get in like those from non-EU.

I don't see why the desire to preserve the countryside has to be linked to the overcrowding of the cities. One can want to preserve the countryside regardless of the latter.

Anyway, it doesn't matter. There is no real problem of overcrowding in terms of living space.

How do you know who is and who isn't an expatriate?

Also, have you ever actually been to Mumbai? The indigenous ethnic group there is also in a minority. Didn't you know?
