has some similarities;

Some words are the same and both are spoken in a masculine and feminine way

Both are originally Iranic languages

Both use the basic arabic alphabet (pashto has more letters)

Pashto uses more words from Urdu than Farsi does (Pashto is spoken in Southern Afghanistan and Pakistan whereas Farsi is spoken in North and Western Afghanistan, Iran and Tajikistan

Always a good thing to get in touch with your heritage and roots

I learned alot of eye-opening things about my own ancestors
Yurp ( well I like to think I can speak it properly :P) but in the 'softer' accent.

I learned that my ancestors (going back a long way) lived in a place which became a war zone last year (between the Taliban and the Pakistani army) :facepalm:
