The question about eukaryotic cells...

would it be correct to say they have a nuclus and mitochondria?
Also, the last question about reliability could you write "repeat the experiment with another onion (same type), make the epidermis strips the same length and for accuracy - use equipment with smaller scale divisions"

As soon as I read the question, "differentiation" popped into my head, I still have no clue if I have even come across that word yet :rofl:

It's a term commonly used in regards to stem cells. I though 'specialised', then realised that's a stupid answer. I wrote down differentiation instead thankfully.

Yep adaptations of alveoli are large surface area, thin diffusion distance, close to capillaries to deliver carbon dixoide/take oxygen. Neutrophils have lysosomes which digest the foriegn material. Transpirtation is the loss of water vapour from aerial parts of the plant. So about right :smile:

Yep there was a question asking the name of the term for when cells specialise and the changes they make and that was differentiation. Then there was a question simply asking for a definition of transpiration. :smile:

G1 and G2 is cell growth organelle growth and protein synthesis. I think S phase is just replications and checking of DNA. I just checked text book and that is correct. I cant think what the two marks were for seeing as paper already gave DNA replication, checking was all I could think of.

Aahh for that question i did not actually say draw a certain type of graph. NOOOOOOOOO i think you were meant to say to use the line of best fit to work it out.

To get the mark for a misspelt answer it must sound the same phonetically and be the same amount of syllables as the correct answer.

Wait. Isnt S phase just the small bit were chromosomes are checked and replicated? G1 and G2 is where orgnalles and cell grows and protein synthesis. That what it says in the book anyway.

Edit - sorry just saw post above,.Im sure they just asked for S phase in the question.
