Has anyone got an offer for Natural Sciences yet? I sent my UCAS application in on about December 12th and haven't received a decision. I'm also an International Student. Any idea when we should expect either a rejection or an offer?

Same here! I applied for Natural Sciences and I'm also an international, but I sent in my app in October. Where are you from? I live in Taiwan; if you didn't just Google the country, they should definitely let you in xD

I have an open day for the 16th of March for Geography, the letter says there will be a mock tutorial.
Can anyone who has already had one of these help me out and let me know what the layout is?
Original post by ForFreedom
I have an interview unfortunately - 15th March :rolleyes::frown:

aww don't worry! there's still hope! at least you weren't rejected.
Let me know how it goes

I'm just filling out my accommodation application form as we speak! I'm wanting to go intercollegiate, you get to meet so many more people! Wherever I go I want to be catered as well, and all intercollegiate are catered. I think I'm going 1st choice Connaught (literally a street over from SSEES) and 2nd choice International Hall (about a 10-15 minute walk from UCL). I can't wait!

I've had 3 friends go to London and they've all stayed in intercollegiate halls, and they all advocate intercollegiate! You're not only in with people from UCL, but people from Kings, Imperial, SOAS and all the other University of London unis.

I've heard back . When did you apply? Good luck!

Sent UCAS off on Ocrober 20th and sent my UCL Questionnaire on December 8th. Did u get an offer? Is it for History?
I think EU students get a written interview type of thing - or, at least, I got one recently for English. Thankfully UCL doesn't seem to be self-obsessed enough to assume we can all pay for the flights...
Still waiting on economics (Y) Anyone had an offer for it yet (congratulations if you have!! )?

 You got an offer?! Well done!!! I'm a bit worried about my application now! When did you get your offer and what are the conditions?

Yees, i'm so happy and thankful. At least I have one of the 2 london ones now
Haha don't be silly, you've got in everywhere else and I had my interview the week before. Still time you have nothing to worry about, do you even need an offer from UCL?... wait before you think about that... it's AAAe. now you can answer. lol (although i'm reapplying, so I wouldn't be surprised if they gave me the higher offer). you'll have to wait and see for sure
how's your prep goin for jan exams, do you have many?

Original post by smid1345
Congrats! I'm applying for cs as well (G400 though, not international). How long did it take them to reply?

oooh nice. congrats on your imperial interview. that one seems to be deceiving me. took UCL quite a while, about 6 weeks until the offer. but that includes the christmas break. but as nikita was saying it's totally different for EU or international apps. If you have an interview from Imperial, you're clearly a strong candidate, you may even get an offer without interview at UCL.
good luck for both! where else did you apply and which is your favourite?

CONGRATULATIONS THEN!!!! I'm EU so I suppose I could possibly get an interview (if they are interested in me :P). How was the interview at UCL? Did they give you any tests or just questions?

Thank you  My interview is on March 2nd and I hope to get an offer :colondollar: hehe I will surely check the IC thread!

I'm an EU student and got an offer without an interview so maybe you also won't need one
But I got rejected from IC so I guess it's a bit different

I'm going to firm UCL in a few days (or weeks, depending on UCAS) and I'll try to get a self-catered shared room in 5 minutes walking distance  This narrows it down to 5 houses... (from the description Astor College seems to be the nicest one)

Aha of course you're pleased to have an offer from them! AAA seems a bit high though! Literally everywhere have put their offers up :frown: I might insurance UCL if they give me an AAB offer but we will have to wait and see
Jan exams are going good... I'm surviving :frown: I had FP2 (further maths) yesterday and I have C3 and a physics module soon. Not overly stressful ahaha

Edit: Keep your hopes up for Imperial! You still might get in! Which would you prefer? UCL or Imperial?

We can't apply for accomodation yet surely? Don't we have to wait for an accomodation pack to come through the post?

Yeah, I got an offer for History but I sent my questionnaire off a bit earlier than you so don't worry . Good luck!
Original post by dj9
Indeed they are! I had a long hard think about it, but I really feel ucl is much more suited to me, more diversity and socialising methinks
Whilst imperial might be seen as a better choice for comp sci, i wouldnt want to take myself out of my comfort zone too much, and also you cant go to imperial and then to somewhere like caltech or columbia in the degree. so if i manage to get ucl and one of those I think its as good or better

i strongly degree in you thinking UCL will be more diverse- imho imperial houses the most diverse number of chinese people from different countries.

Yeep, wasn't expecting AAA o.O mmm if u got AAB that is defo worth considering as ur insurance just in case. I guess you can also tell depending how ur jan exams go.
Survivng lol, fp2, c3 and physics...wow. Not overly stressful at all haha! Well I hope u survive brilliantly.
Lol imperial :frown: i'm slowly coming to terms with it. I still do sliiiiightly prefer UCL because of the diversity but it's pretty damn hard to turn down an offer for comp sci at IC. Last year i was able to choose UCL cos of the high IC offer and since I was doing maths in only 1 year I knew getting A* was unlikely. But now A* is definitely possible, so basically answering the question... I don't know lol!
I'll cross that bridge when/if it comes

LOOOL

Pretence, you make a very valid point. One had not even thought about such benefits of living and studying with the most diverse number of Chinese people. Not only will I witness and share their natural intellectual ability, but also learn the many different languages and cultures of Chinese people from around the world. Furthermore, being black myself everyone will spot me a mile off, hey you never know I may even turn a few heads if some internationals have never seen black people in real life. Golly, I wish I was there now!

Edit: I completely forgot to mention the added possibility of meeting someone who enjoys and appreciates Pokémon, Yu-Gi-Oh and Beyblade as much as I do.

Yeah intercollegiate ones sound cool in that sense but I expected them to be cheaper than the UCL ones but they're not ?
And they are further away!:frown:
Are intercollegiate ones all catered? Are you sure?
Because I'm looking at one called Nutford house and it's only £112/week.
That can't be including food, surely?
